You are correct.
the curves darkening definitely improved things.
I am going to do that to the original now.		 Feb 12th
56 Feb 17 Comment I like the way you have made the grass on the bank almost disappear in the painting & producing a soft and almost uniform background.
The canvas texture of the background is also pleasing
The minimal painting effect on the birds & reflection is a good idea.
Overall very nicely done.

I ma not surprised it was awarded a merit.

56 Feb 17 Comment The minimalist changes on the flag are excellent & it contrasts nicely with the Van Gogh effect on the Clouds and Sky.
the Pyramids effect is cleverly used (& chosen) to give good artistic effect to the feathers.
The composite effect is also not as obvious in thsi painting, which I prefer.		 Feb 9th
