Hi Beverly, thank you for your comments! The line you see on the left is part of the frame that goes right around the image....though it does disappear every now and then! |

Hi Brian, I hadn't realised that it was a negative at first! I was wondering how you got the white behind the chairs!!! I really like the effect because the rest of the image could get away with us thinking it was a positive! Phill |

I LOVE the pink feminine Background and the movement in the girl as she moves through the air! Phill |

Hi Margaret, when taking the photos on your phone, have you tried using the HDR option? It DOES take photos with more contrast. Conversely it also takes a fraction longer to take the photo. I prefer to up the contrast in Snapseed! |

Hi Pat, I LOVE this!...so feminine ! It lends itself to distorting the perspective...have you thought of cropping in each end then stretching the image so that it becomes more distorted? Phill |

Hi Margaret, The colour tones of this image seem to indicate the drier colours of drought. I like the detail in the tree and this view point is better than the other one!

A very strong image! I LOVE the colour combinations. At first I had the impression that the arm going up was the Statue of liberty....which goes well with the flag etc! Phill |

Thanks for the welcome, Ruth (my second name!) For many months we had a very smoky atmosphere but now we have had some rain ...in our area and there were no fires near us. One of my friends lives down on the South Coast of NSW and she was told to leave her home immediately. Luckily her son was with her at the time and I think her house was pretty safe. |

Hi Belinda, Thank you for your welcome! Unfortunately I was sitting next to Chelsea and concentrating on my Great Granddaughter! This was all I captured this time but I thought it suited the image idea that I had!

Hi Ruth, I am not familiar with your Living Yard Art but it is a great idea! I'm wondering if a square format would suit the flower more? However, perhaps all the images in your series are this format?
The background green colours really set off the yellow of the flower. I suppose you have also tried it with a dark vignette?
I apologise for not being able to find the insect!!! Phill |

I really love the rather spooky effect that you have achieved here...... White spirits coming around the corner, possibly flames coming up to him....his punishment for looking in the window?! I also like the way we can see a bit of the scenery beyond. Yes, it IS a bit bright there but it adds to the context of the image overall. |
