Heidi, we're all glad you joined our group! Your first submission is lovely and sweet and looks like a well-done -painting. In any photo, the eyes are the focus and since they are sharp and strong, the softness of the other body parts just enhances the image to me. |

Another beautiful painting! That must have been a wonderful workshop and your image is a testament. I like the winter fur showing on this horse in its chilly environment. Also,I am enchanted by the BRAYER look and would like to see more of that sometime. |

Nice painting, Martha. I like this brighter version everywhere in the trees, but I have to admit that I am a bit disturbed by the bright section of footpath that goes through the base of the foreground. In the painting, it is hard to ascertain what it is and being bright, it caught my eye. |

Your original is "wow" enough, but after seeing your vision of a final result, you handled this just right. What an impressive sight! |

This is such a terrific painting that nobody would ever guess it started as a photo, I'm sure. I love everything about it. You must have a nice garden, too. I've often heard of camellias, but don't think I've seen any blooms like this. I can amost smell the scent! |

I am enjoying just how far you were able to take this image from your original shot of tree branches! I think I can sort of make out an abstract kneeling man among the colorful shapes your software apps created. I, for one, like the last one you ended up with, for its colorful aspect. |

I like your idea of black and white and will likely give this a re-do treatment. |

The progression in sizes makes the viewer realize just how large a display this is, continuing up to infinity, seemingly. I like the multitude of colors, which are eye-catching and probably made you think of shooting this well-angled image. |

This isn't something we'd expect to see in a view of downtown. I liked the simplicity, the warm wood colors and the angle of the tub. This shot will preserve a memory of a nice bath in an exotic spot, albeit an urban one. |

Ruth, it's a very nice sharp and colorful shot. Congratulations on the new camera. We will enjoy the results. You may not have shot with enough tree for a unified background, but it's a nice contrast to the flowers. Also, good call to shoot it to show the characteristically long stem. |

Susan, you did a great job of getting the horse and rider to stand out from the trees in the background, now that I've seen the original. With everyone mentioning RAW setting, I'm realizing that's something my old trusty iPhoneX lacks. Probably time to start saving for a new one. At least it has HDR. The only thing y0u need is the rest of the shadow. |

Wayne, I think I liked your description as much as the photo itself! I can picture the pressure of trying to quickly arrange a still life type shot while a tasting is in progress with onlookers to boot. The partial base of the 4th glass didn't particularly bother me until I read the other comments. I enjoy the colors together as well as the swirly shape of the wine in the glass. I hope it tasted as good as it looks. |

I concur this is one cute child! Good idea also to have removed those distracting lights that would have made the baby appear to have Martian antennae. Nice work. |
