Cindy, you sure got your money's worth from that model ship! Above and beyond. Plus the lightning adds excitement to the scene, while explaining why the ship is tilting on the high seas. I would like to see the top sail and mast a little better, but maybe that's also in keeping with the stormy scene (?) |

Your little Towhee looks terrific with the chosen blurred background, but once I zoomed in to the snow-scattered (from the small image, I presumed to be water-droplets!) scene, I confess, I liked that one the best. It's like a late-season holiday card scene. It adds an entire different feeling to the bird scene. |

Gerhard, you always find the best animals and birds and are making each one look spectacular! The unusual flower, too, shows up much better after your painting on it. I like Nancy's idea of blurring the green to blend in without a harsh edgeline, but I do like the texture in the right background, looking quite like tree bark. |

Trey, you found just the perfect tools to use to make this really look oil painted! You were able to keep the best of the colors of blue and rust while enhancing the texture to resemble the feeling of flaking rust. I anxiously await seeing some more of your experimentation with your new tool-set. |

From where you stood, you captured a good angle of a building with apparently no angles, showing to best advantage its free-flowing natural look. I think Sr. Gaudi would approve. The sunny-day clouds overhead enhance the look. |

My first impression is Wow! what a gem of a shot! The late-afternoon colors really grab my eye and the boat is very easy to distinguish in the middle, framed by the reflections of the trees. I also like the sky reflections that colorize the water. |

It seems the trees and weeds have taken over. We see a lot of barns and nearly-hidden houses like this every time we take a ride through the countryside. I guess the cost of demolishing outweighs the benefits. I like the colors of the sky, roof, and grass, so I wouldn't think monotoning it would enhance it, but rather make it even more hidden and hard to see. |

It's nice that the leading lines do lead to an eye-pleasing tasty treat that emphasizes what the lines are composed of! I agree with Kieu-Hanh that your son helps give a sense of the size of the farm plot where this is situated. There isn't anything that really needs removal nor flipping in my opinion. But now, you've made me hungry... |

Being in Holy Week, it reminds me of a crown of thorns, but I believe that's an entirely different plant! I like the title you chose, too. I agree about removing the faint diagonal greenish lines (or blueish) near the top that don't add anything to this startling image of a very spiky cactus. |
