Thank you all for your comments. I keep thinking of other things I could have done to it, but I had to quit futzing at some point so I could submit it. (and even, re-submit it.) |

I agree that you captured these two in such a perfect position in relation to each other! Your rendition adds a lot of lovely softness to the image as you turned it into a gorgeous painting. The aqua-toned background makes them stand out and the pale purplish tone was inspired. |

The flower improved from your enhancements, Martha, especially the lower left side which was devoid of leaves and the top right flower that looked more dead in the original but now it adds something to the composition. Your "final final" image really benefitted from following some of the comments of other members. I like the intense purples in this against the varied greens. |

You didn't have to make changes to the original for this one, as it has so much lovely color distributed throughout and it was composed so well, to boot. So much beauty in the simplest of scenes. The pinkish cloud tint wasn't needed, but it does enhance the scene. |

What an improvement over the original background! I can see her sitting in the corner of a room instead amidst hubbub of passersby. It brings all the attention to this young woman. (Interesting that both you and Trey chose artisans at work this month.) I really like your painting strokes on this image. One thing, I sort of think you could put back that black knobby thing to the top of the stick, so it won't end abruptly at the top of the railing in the corner. |

The strong shadow outlines add so much to the wonderful look of the woodcarving's cubist effect. You are getting a lot of good out of your Topaz by enhancing the look of the original. This is really a nice job and I enjoyed your vision to make it even more carved-looking. (By the way, Antioch is just a few miles away from my home. I'll have to check him out sometime when he's not up in your area.) |

Oh, NO! I just saw what I sent and this was an earlier file before I spent around 45 min removing all traces of the ceiling to reveal the sky for the background. So cringe-worthy--ugh! I went back and found I'd saved the wrong image as "final". Let's try again. |

I love your photo and I think Steven's crop makes it even more sensational. It's a place we would like to visit, but we don't travel much at our ages, so I hope you make it a priority right after you retire, don't wait, even if it's only group tours. The scene and its colors convey a peaceful sense of the ultimate fishing village/marina look with enough of the city showing to give that exotic mark of a foreign travel place.
Congratulations on being chosen to exhibit an image for the Digital Dialog! Actually, it looks like you could have shot it in my community today. Same colors, same trees, same breeze. That one is lovely, too.

I took a couple other shots of them before they left, but they were not interacting the way they seem in this one. |

Yes, it was as close as I could manage to the window. |

Yes, yes, yes! The final colors look fabulous. Although I'm not a quilter, whenever I've flown over various landscapes, I feel inspired to turn them into a quilt and this one is just the right kind. Nice job shooting, cropping, and color correcting, Jack. You are getting a lot of mileage out of your travels, photo-wise, too. |

Oh, an indoor shot this time! This is a nice way to save a memory of your birthday flowers. Now that it's nearly 2 months past, I still wish you a happy birthday, Ruth! And may I be the first to wish you another one to anticipate next year... I agree that the pecan tree looks really nice out there, nearly an extension of the indoor bouquet itself, shooting up all light and feathery in the background. |

What a conglomeration! Here you have such a tightly-packed bunch of mushrooms/toadstools showing off their interesting undersides in varying shades. The natural background makes this a fun and intriguing shot to look at. |

To me, this is a FUN image. I am enjoying the bright colors all in the same scene, well-distributed through the photo. All I'd suggest is the same thing as Kieu-Hanh & Jack: It would have been nice to see just a little more at the edges. The fuzzy pods enhance the look next to the smoothly rounded bright orange petals. This one is a dazzler! |

I'm afraid that lightening up the rocks at the bottom might detract from the main image of the falls. One thought is to change it from a vertical to a horizontal by cropping the bright sky AND the rocks, just leaving the falls. I really, really like how it's possible in the I-R shot to actually see through the silky water to the rocks behind the falls. I remember this spot, although I probably never shot it. You certainly did a commendable job with your final output after experimenting with different looks. |
