Both images are very attractive, Cindy. (How nice that you don't have to travel overseas to find some!) Your composite was expertly done and looks very natural. I enjoyed your explanation of brushes you chose for your image. Super job. |

I believe Nancy is correct that it's a camellia, but I haven't seen one like this in real life. It's pretty and the treatment you gave it reminds me of viewing a flower through a frosted glass shower door. You maintained the angle of lighting really well with the brushes in the apps you chose. Well done. |

Nancy, don't put it down; your rose image looks just lovely to me! I like the carry-over of the pale pink from the flower into the white vignetted background especially. The open one plus the bud give a sort of life cycle view of this variety that I find pleasing, with your thin inset border to tie things together. It's a keeper. |

Yes, you got a shot that brings a smile to any photographer! What's even sillier was at first glance, I thought the black bus was some heavy piece of photo gear for doing macro close ups, the way it's lined up with the end of the lens! He's looking right up that nostril. I'll bet you chuckled as you posted this one. |

I am ambivalent; while I prefer the composition of the boats in original 1, the second one had greater impact for me, with its attractive colors and moody clouds. Either way, it's a win. |

Ruth, this image is all about the bright, happy colors you captured so well! They look better than any morning glories I ever shot, likely because of the scattered pops of red among them. Good job removing every trace of power lines. I'd have never suspected they once existed. |

What an interesting building! The part I found somewhat distracting is the bright part with bridges on the left, but it's hard to shoot as much of this area closeup without any intruding background. You might be able to crop more on left and make it darker in photoshop or other app to keep the eye on the sculptural aspects. |

Ditto to what's already been said. I'm glad you found a great vantage point upstairs to encompass the entire scene. Your decision to convert to monochrome adds a timeless quality to a site that has seen decades of such passengers. Of course the cell phone woman conveys that touch of modern for the scene. |
