I was glancing through a bunch of thumbnails from all the groups and this was the first one that jumped off the page and made me want to view it full-sized! Skillful job of compositing and what a creative & fun scene! Kudos,

I like your version, too, so that's something I can try to improve this version. |

Yes, that was my idea, but the more I look at it, the more I think I will tone it down some. Thanks for your observation. |

I have to admit that I much prefer the version you posted in your comments because the bright focus is on the main water lily now. However, I hate to see the big leaf cut off at its right. The painting is really a lovely impressionistic image. |

The final version really makes the stamen part show up so much better, as well as the veins of the petals. And the closeup sharp cropping focuses my attention to just the right spot. Very nice. And also, a real summery look for August. |

I love this version the most. Your beautiful poppies are like dancing girls in long white skirts. A lovely painting. |

I like Simon, too, but that one is not familiar. These reminded me of oak leaves quite a bit. I like the monotone greens and how they overlap. Your added intensity suits them well. No further suggestions for this pleasing summery image. |

CORRECTION: Oops, I meant to say the paddleboarder was a TELEPHOTO shot, not wide angle like the rest of the background.

This is unique, with the sharpness, the earth tones, and air of foreignness. It makes me think of a row of choirboys, instead of gargoyles one often sees from the olden days with waterspouts. I always love seeing travel shots, especially the less I travel now. |

The original with the half wheelbarrow and half street sign wouldn't have added anything. You strengthened the composition by cropping them out, since you want us to notice the bikes. I like the shadows on the high curb, too. |

I know you said Europe, but whereabouts? Just curious whether it might be Holland, Germany, or elsewhere. Great architecture to have in a reflection, at any rate! |

So, Wayne, welcome to the group! That sounds like a wonderful cruise and we'll look forward to seeing more of your resulting images. I love the intensity of the various colors. Do you recall what time of day this was taken? I think you are showing the right amount of seawater for the foreground to balance it out.
My first impression was the blue tint on the snow was overpowering, but considering it in context, I'm sure it's natural and would look jarring if it had been pure white.
I don't have an android phone, but you should be able to find a few apps for downsizing. (If that's what you meant about resolution.) |

This is both colorful and nicely lit, Steven. Or maybe it's even the dancers' lithe legs with fuzzy ballet slippers sticking up. |

Buttercup looks "sweet", alright! I am wondering what product originally shipped in that box (?) I tried googling Lone Star Sweet and it only mentioned cattle feed. Looks more like a box for produce. So, food for thought…I enjoyed seeing this photo, Ruth. |
