Forgot to say, it's from an evergreen type of Magnolia. Made it through a deep freeze around Christmastime that killed many bushes and full-grown evergreens next to it. |

Martha, you did make a gorgeous painting of an equally-gorgeous flower! It was a good idea to remove those extra leaves before rendering it into a painting. The shot you took was well done, with an already-blurred background that shifted focus to the bright contrast of a sharp flower, with rich details. Love it. |

You picked out the best cluster of the bunch, Nancy. In Mich., we had similarly-shaped roses in pale pink, which were called Pasture roses. Those are my favorites. Despite the charming raindrops, the colors in your image shout "wedding bouquet", "June", and "summer". Frame them and put them right up on the wall! I really like this. |

How amusing that each of us posted a different flower this month. I had ever seen Lupine until I visited Sweden many years back and asked what that striking-looking flower was. Then I sometimes noticed it growing in places scattered around the Midwest. It looked so unremarkable in the original, washed-out and surrounded by dying field grass laying down. Your colorful treatment of the plant really makes it look so lovely |

Definitely, that building part and nozzle at lower left had to go, which improved your image so much. I like what Snapseed editing did to give more warmth in the clouds. Also, the redness of the bushes shows up better and balances out the composition. Nicely handled, Kieu-Hanh. |

I think I like your (Jack's) image more, because there's something in the foreground, albeit a slightly scarey headless statue. I think you'll just have to go back there, take a step backwards and get the front statue with its full shadow. (Kidding) Actually, my favorite part is looking up at the ancient blocky ceiling and fancy trim on upper walls which call to mind other cool musty places worth preserving through the ages. Although the opening is fairly blown out, I'd expect that, since the corridor is not lost in darkness. Thanks for showing us a place we'd otherwise not likely see. |

This surely is a "WOW!" sky shot, Quang! It would be hard to find another one like it, with the combination of those roll and tendrils of cloud, interspersed with little puffs here and there. Very eye-catching and it would also serve as a marvelous background if you ever want a composite with a different foreground subject. It's a keeper. |

First impression was flooring with exotic red paint, ha. I like the strong diagonal-ness of your composition. I am reminded of Mom sending away for a small "Ti log" back in the '50's and it grew for awhile. But as memory serves, it had dark green small leaves. I must have seen these red ones while visiting Fla., but didn't associate them with the name, Ti. So, nice to know. I enjoyed hearing about the capabilities of your phone, as my iPhone X begins to show its age. |

Jack's comment made me zoom up and look harder to find the ant! This is so colorful, sharp & attractive, Ruth. My impression was that it is a Marigold, too. Good image to welcome summer soon. |
