Cindy, you surely have a knack for taking the "zoo" out of the image and putting the tiger out in the wilds for its stalking pose. The green eyes look natural, nice and visible yet not too, too green. You worked hard to get the fur to look so perfect. My hat's off to you for this terrific painting. |

I echo Cindy's first impression that Pearl was tilting until I looked harder, because the coat hanging long behind her front leg resembled a back foot--at least until I saw which angle her actual leg was going. Good idea fixing the boot. You sure had to do a lot to bring your creation to life. Wow. You had a oool idea to turn the ship into a line drawing for the background, too. You sure captured the perfect expression in your subject.
Thanks for sharing your tip about Unsplash. We'll all have to check that out, Nancy. |

Your work enhanced the thistle and made the spikes less threatening and more about the beauty of the flower. You did right to keep the color intense. However, I think that toning down the leaves at lower right to a shade that is a bit darker would help keep the viewer's eye right on the flower heads. The golden orange colors now in the far background make a very nice complement. |

Gerhard, this is such an interesting perspective with the lines of the rustic roadway cutting zigzag through it to lead the eye of the viewer into and even further into the field of flowers. I'm not sure which blend modes yielded such a happy outcome, but the variety of wildflowers and their profusion certainly created a memorable painting. Every element of the scene is a treat. |

It seems a shame to limit a chance to view an artist's work to one single minute. I suppose the crowds at this museum require that strict a requirement. I appears that you captured the essence of the blend of lively colors and shapes that the artwork displayed. Your rendition helps the viewer get a good idea of what the show portrayed. |

You are getting a lot of mileage out of your shots at White Sands. And each is so different from the others. This one is all ready to be an artistic painting, with its peaceful minimal use of color plus a sharp focal point of grass in the foreground. Try as I could, my screen doesn't show any pink tones. It's fine as you rendered it. |

How lucky it was you had a camera phone handy when this unusual crisscross cloud formation appeared! I like it that you removed the setting with your tight crop, yet allowed the branches to form a natural frame. |

I will make it unanimous, raving about what rich detail you captured for the viewer right at the precipice, for an image that merits a long look. Who knew a photo could stimulate so much vertigo? I also see no reason to replace the wonderful cloud-laden sky for your print. It looks perfect as it is. |

This is one of those shots that look best with the subject-the crashing wave -because it is right in the middle between left and right, yet lowered from the center vertically, giving it extra weight and emphasis. I actually prefer the original colors, with natural brownish tones of a coming storm and found the blues of the final image somewhat too strong for my liking, too much like a calm summer day sort of blues. |

Even though you didn't make color changes when you cropped, the cropping itself rather warmed up the overall image to me, because the brighter right side areas were removed. Also I found you really enhanced the focal points by lopping off all the scattered folks on the right and helped train the eyes on the boats and reflections as well as the fewer people in the foreground. |
