This was a fascinating shot with the juxtaposition of two unlike neglected objects. Good eye you have! I liked the cobwebs you left in and seemingly emphasized. To me, the unlevel shelf just adds to the dynamic. No need to straighten at all. |

With all the intense colors, this photo really shouts "county fair!" This painting contains a rainbow in a basket. The finish with the white edges looks great. |

What a gorgeous animal! My eyes are drawn to the sharper areas of the animal: eyes, lashes, nose, whiskers. The blurrier expanses of fur/skin seem to need a tad more sharpening to go with them. I get it that you probably left them softer to promote the idea of a painting, but I'd like to see the ram looking less smudged. (Maybe just smudge on the background next time around?) |

You took a geometric-looking subject up a bunch of levels with your lovely treatment of its background, Nancy. I like the detail of those little blotches behind it on the wall. Nice how the brownish tones set off the outside of the shell so well. It looks peaceful to contemplate. It would make an excellent cover for a book, I think. Or, of course, a wonderful square painting. |

In terms of painting, it's not a huge departure from your well-shot original. I like these complementary colors you found together, especially after you intensified the purples. The group of 3 Ox-Eyes at an angle certainly draw the eyes to themselves. I agree with Gerhard's comment about the mysterious feel, probably because of the haziness in the Bergamots, now that I looked again. |

You had a good thought to go ahead and turn this one into a black and white image, since it was halfway there already and has such a strong content of shapes and shadows. You spotted an interesting shot here, for sure! I think the cracks in the pavement and bushes add the right touch of non-geometricness to balance the scene. |

A beautiful summery day scene in the sky, with various types of clouds to hold the viewers' interest. Your phone captured the intense blues well without washing out the whites and greens in the scenery. |

I like the way you cropped the shot. The intricate fence and leaf patterns provide a lovely background for this peaceful-looking feline with its very own reflection. I am not bothered by the pole or tree in the background, although you might well have toned it down rather than removing it. As is, it matches the color of the cat. |

This is beautiful, Jack, to be in a place where you could view the rainbow in its entirety, plus the wonderful rock formations. The rainbow must have made you forget the nerve-wracking thunderstorm, but in your haste to admire the scene, at least you didn't forget you had a wide-angle camera on your phone.
(Now I will have to Google the Bisti Badlands.) |

Although you were able to somehow get sharpness along the full length of the 2nd Original, I like this one better with the dynamic of the diagonal fading into the distance. I see why you chose Swallowtail over Parsley in this case. They can be voracious. Nice colors and sharpness where it counts. Great job! |

Thanks, all! I see the sinkhole survivor Corvettes struck a chord with the rest of you as it did with me. I came home eager to share what I'd seen. |

I had thought the vignette darkened the spectators enough, but I see the ones facing the car are too visible. I wish I'd cloned some out. |
