Wow, the images side by side, are as different as night and day!!! Changing the drabber color of the background to complement the Kingfisher's coloring really is a great enhancement, not to mention losing the background entirely. You have created a fantastic fantasy background and perch for it. Good job with all your special creative brushwork! |

Kalinda certainly captured the gestures of Marilyn in this. You did a masterful job with the softening lines of her flowing gown. The seductive lighting and finished background add a lot to the final painting. So well done, Nancy. Can't wait to see what you come up with in the coming months. |

I love all the bright colors in this shot, Trey! It looks much more interesting than the greyish original image. Fun photo to look at, now that spring is here. I am not a big fan of the bokeh look, but Nancy's version helps keep the viewers' eyes on the pretty bird rather than the bright circles in the background. |

I wondered how you got that space between the two and the "baby" toadstool until I read your comment that it was a similar but different shot and not the original. I like the sepia tones in the original as much as the silvery greys in the final image, but I have to agree with Belinda's point that the textures show up much better in the black and white picture.
I hope all those fires are out by now. We always hear about things that are happening in the news, but rarely about when they stop or how things are starting to regenerate. |

I never can remember which ones are daffodils, narcissus, and jonquils as they all seem to blossom in similar yellows and whites about the same time.
You know what I like is the bouquet is like a ball of flowers with each of them "looking" off in a different direction. It's a way to see the flowers from every possible angle. I also like the fresh spring colors with the various shades of green to coordinate with the yellow and white petals. |

This one really caught my attention on our initial page of thumbnail-sized images and despite the abstractness, it still is distinctly recognizable as the Operahouse. (If not that, my second and third guesses would be an open book with sprawling pages or gull wings, LOL) It's interesting to read others' comments about what things they could see in your one-of-a-kind image. Very nice. |

I made some images on this order years ago. Yours came out so well that I have to remember to keep this in my bag of tricks. Hard to believe the original shot turned into this design. I like the "heart" shapes and paisley overall look of it. Actually, it reminds me of some cut-glass designs on old glass bowls, since glass was mentioned.
Anyway, I really, really like your resulting image, bluishness and all. |
