What I like the most is the exciting juxtaposition of the vivid colors of blue and pink that really called my attention. The slight suggestion of impressionism calls to mind a gentle breeze catching these petals. They are just randomly-located enough to be in a real live garden and I find myself looking for butterflies on the blossoms. |

I was surprised to read that the little floweret on the side was actually a downsized clone of the main flower subject. I like the bright halo around the flower in Original 2 but that one had a distracting white speck on the left, so the final one with its nicely-smoothed-out background is the one I do prefer. |

I love how you transformed an unremarkable record-shot situation into some high-level artwork, Terry! It took a trained eye to even think to shoot this detritus and all your specialized painting filters to nudge it into a real "looker" with some philosophy behind it. Kudos. |

While I don't have an original to compare with, I like the ageless old-timey feel that the paintwork gives this painting. I agree with Cindy that the textures seem like stucco and concrete. It doesn't feel like a painting made from a photograph--just an original painting. It seems like you got the hang of the AlienSkin filter pretty fast. |

You made the most of this candid shot and sweet expression by replacing the background with the purply-pink shade of her dress in a gauzy/dreamy style. Speaking of style, the hairstyle you gave her looks much more flattering in the final painting than the original. This is just adorable. You really mastered your mixer brush! |

The original shot captured both the foliage and the alcove with both evenly-lit. I like how your SnapArt kept the detail in the overhang while enhancing the bushes with brush-strokes. And I love the colors in this image. |

It's interesting to see how well you transformed a perfectly nice sunny day into some moody dismal weather. (Good thing you don't work for the weather bureau!) ;-) Seriously, what a great job you did! I like the varying sizes of droplets on the lens (or window pane) and the interesting clouds in the sky. It was clever of you to do this with ProCamera. |

I hope you had a merry Christmas, Ruth. What I love about this shot is how you focused on her sharp, clear eyes. For a piece of yard art, she is mesmerizing. |

It rather reminds me of a closeup shot of an old globe of the world (before they had the shapes of the landmasses correct). Good thing you took the photo before anybody hauled away the dumpster! It sure has a lot of interesting textures and not too much color to compete with the textures. Like ink blots, it's fun to see what it reminds people of. Wonderful shot, Laurie! |

You found a good vantage point. I like the cropping; you really got all the interesting parts and nothing unrelated into the shot. The color enhanced the water at the bottom, but I find the yellowish shade introduced in the rocks just a bit too strong. I wish you could "dial it back" toward the neutral shade of the original a couple notches. It was great that Lightroom lightened the upper central area to see those rocks, trees and the thin waterfall(?) to the left of the main falls. It reminds me a lot of Yellowstone falls. Beautiful shot. |
