That was a super idea to play with your own face, Kathy. The painting looks very pleasant, with a smile on your now upturned lips, and I think possibly a little change around the eyes. Maybe you could have included some of your own hair, though, unless you're wearing an "up-do" of floral arrangement. The only nitpick is that the pinkish skin of the "Queen" is just a little too bright around the fall colors of the forest, making them look too dull by contrast.
It was fun to see something so creative. |

That was clever of you to reduce the number of dancers to fit your vision, Nancy. She was the right one to remove, since her white "skirt", different hair color and somewhat awkward pose would have called more attention to her. The 3 you left in seem more cohesive as a composition. You also improved the colors a good deal from the boring stage draperies in the corner. Good idea getting the chair stacks out of there but keeping those reflections. Real nice work!

This is a shot with such impact! The colors in both the original and painting versions are so pleasing. I'm glad you mentioned the moon, because I never even noticed it up there. Since it's a painting, it might be an enhancement to "paste" an enlarged version of a moon shot into the final one, if you took another one that was more of a close-up, even if you shot it at a different time. Because you are right that the other little white flecks compete too much with the tiny dot of moon here. You managed to be out shooting at just the perfect moment. |
