Thank you for taking us out of a very distracting weedy background and letting the viewer feast his or her eyes on an egret in action. The little boxy shape of the reeds & plant at the right were ok to leave in, as they keep the realism in the painting. I do like whatever you did to warm up the overall tone. |

Love the composition! 3 of anything often adds interest and each goose is doing its own thing. While the original looks very good, you are right about the dirty shade of water as a detraction. The pale pastels of the painting would look perfect hanging in a nursery room. Not surprised this one did well in competition. It looks like the geese are half in the clouds and half in water. |

The sun-lit peaks look quite impressive, especially against the purplish shadow expanses. I also like how the cloud reflections acquired a peach tone in the water that's not in the sky. Topaz made them fluffier. |
