Overall, I like what you convey in the photo/painting. Good idea combining the patriotically-decorated building with the celebratory fireworks. The smoke from the fireworks on the right doesn't bother me, since that's what they do. However, it does look a bit too bright, especially at the top of the house. I'm glad you were able to retain the inner glow of lamplight inside in your final rendition. I think that is the other focal point, besides the fireworks and if the house were not quite so bright, it would show up better. I kind of like the harmonizing effect of the pinker light that Nancy demonstrated, too. |

I really like the brush-stroked look in the sky and the way you livened up the previously-dull colors. Those birds "posed" for you in just the right spot--and you made the most of it with Painter. That was a perfect gift for you, as you are benefitting from it already. |

I like how the overall tone of lightness in the shot is lowered and blued-up, as the original is just a tad too bright. The camera's low angle is unusual and helps draw my eye upward toward the subject. Your SnapArt softened it just enough to look like real painted watercolor. |
