A very interesting scene and a good composition. For me, the color is too yellow/green and unrealistic. I'm not sure what exactly you did in your post processing, but the image seems to be over-sharpened and out of focus.; all except for the sky. |

For me, monochrome was the way to go with this image. I like the perspective of looking up and the lines in this composition. I also like the shadows. I would suggest opening the shadow just a bit more on the stairs. |

A wonderful close-up shot that is so interesting. Great details and an interesting, blurry background that doesn't take away from your subject. I like your cropping too. I know right where you want me to look. I wouldn't change a thing. Nice job! |

A very interesting and creative shot done in a high key fashion. I like the perspective of this shot and the fact that your subject has a red jacket draws my eye right to it. You have a strong off-center composition, as well. Welcome to the group. I am looking forward to seeing more of your photos. |

I love your composition; it is unique and artistic. I have taken so many orchid photos and it is hard to make something that stands out and is different. You have done it! The blurred background colors are perfect for your subject and the background gives dimension to your photo. The details and focus on your subject are very good, especially the little hairs on the petal. My only suggestion is to flip it horizontally so that the petal leads the eye into the frame. |

A beautiful trio of flowers with gorgeous color and clarity. The focus and details are great as is the composition. Darkening the background and removing the white object to the right helped reduce the distractions. This is really lovely. If I were to suggest anything, it would be to remove the crocus in the upper left, although significantly darkened and blurred, my eye still looked there after I feasted on the main subjects. |

Point well taken. So hard to get a less distracting background at the Botanical garden. Thanks. |

That's why this group is so good. I never noticed the distraction around the bud until you said something and now I do! I tried fixing it. It's not much different than your edit, but I like it better than my original. |

Wonderful four and details. You have great tones ranging from pure white to pure black. A nice street scene and the expression on the girl is great. I wish that the man was looking at her eyes, but you have interesting people in this image and a good background. Technically very well done. |

An interesting and well presented portrait. Wonderful details of this gentleman and a great expression. I like both versions, but I think monochrome was the way to go here. The exposure is very good. I would suggest cropping up some from the bottom to remove some of the out of focus music stand and to clone the few bright white spots. I also opened the shadows so we could see the details of the piano lid. |

So beautifully serene. How lucky you are to have this scene local to you. Have you also taken sunset color photos? The diagonal line leads my eye right into the frame and then I see the moon. The soft, smooth texture of the water you achieved with your long exposure is perfect. The composition is great. I like the space you left and the horizon is not centered in the frame. I wouldn't change a thing. |

Lorna, this is beautiful - both versions; color and monochrome. (I might like the color just a bit better because of its luscious tones of color.) I love the gentle swirls and s. The focus in the center is right on and the square crop fits the subject. My only suggestion is to use the healing brush to remove the several black dots on the petals. |

You have amazing details and you handled the white so well. It is an interesting and nice composition, although I would have liked to have seen a little more of the stairs leading up to the door. I also like the color version - what a great sky. In your monochrome version, I would suggest making the sky darker and removing the dust sensor spot. |

Oh my! I love this. Such luscious colors. You have several close-up possibilities of photos from your original shot. Your focus is perfect and the soft petals are lovely. Hope you don't mind me playing with this a bit. I flipped it horizontally and lightened the whole flower, especially the center, a little. I also eliminated the tiny pink triangle in the top corner. See what you think. |

Such nice details and textures. The blurred background and background color enhance the subject to stand out. I like the composition and negative space to the left rather than a centered shot. In this shot, the bright sun works. My only suggestion is to eliminate the noise in the green background. |

The Paper Kite butterfly is tack sharp, especially the antenna and legs. I like the soft, muted background which helps the butterfly stand out. Since the butterfly is black and white, the bolder yellow in the background works for me. Nice composition too. I don't have any suggestions for improvement. Nice job! |

I really like your composition and the muted background. The colors are very appealing. I removed the white lines, used Denoise to remove the noise in the background and added a slight vignette to keep the eye in the frame. Beautiful subject. |

You have captured the beautiful hues of green and the details and textures on the leaves perfectly. The lines and curves are lovely. Good luck with your garden. |
