I like the chin in the frame. I like the crop at the top of the frame better in your first one - without the pink hair. Also, I think it is now too dark. Your first attempt was lighter and the eyes showed up better. I think the eyes are important because they are also tatooed!!! |

Oh my! I wonder if she will be glad she did this when she is my age??? I think your close crop works well. While the pink hair is interesting, cropping it out helps focus on the face. And what a face it is! You have wonderful focus, clarity and details. For me, your saturation is just right. I wonder if the whole chin should be included. Otherwise, I wouldn't change a thing. Awesome! |

Love the colors and details. The centered symmetrical composition works well. You did an excellent job of straightening the vertical lines. I wouldn't change a thing. Pretty fancy for sewage! |

Great capture. I love the spray of water at the top of the wave. I agree that the darker version of this shows the detail nbetter. I like your composition and vertical crop. Very nice focus and details. Well done! |

You got a nice portrait of the owl looking right at you. You even got a catch light in one of his eyes. I agree with David, that a little more room on the left side would make a bit better compostion. I would use a 8X10 horizontal crop with the owl slightly off center. Your nicely blurred background really shows off your subject. I would like to see a little more detail in the feathers. You have reasonable sharpness/focus everywhere except the feathers on the beak which are a little soft. I know what you mean about settings - I can't tell you the number of times I have done the same thing! |

I agree with David that the shadows make the image. I also agree that the complete shadows on the left are better. Good eye! |

Your post-processing made a huge difference! Very well done. The contrast, saturation and exposure are all very much improved. At first, I wasn't sure I liked the tilt of the buildings but after looking at it a while, I liked it. |

OK, now I see it. Very nice focus on the capitol building. You have nice tones on it with pure whites and blacks. The centered composition works. I would suggest that you darken the sky. I think it helps the building stand out and provideds contrast. I did a very quick version, not spending much time, but you get the idea. |

I love shells. You have reasonably good details and nice tones with pure white to black. The sand makes a nice background. My only suggestion is to crop in closer. |

The leaf is beautifully handled. You have nice tones, lighting and textures. It feels like I could crinkle it up in my hand. I think the leaf alone is the photo. I would eliminate the flowers in the back as they don't add anything and take my eye from the leaf. Keep it simple. |

Wow! Well focused and composed. This abstract has impact when viewed. Love the water drops and deep orange background. I wouldn't have known what it was without your explanation, but that doesn't matter. It's so appealing. My only suggestion is to crop in from the left to eliminate the bright upper left corner. |

Such an interesting close up that is well captured. The blurred background is great and really showcases your subject which is sharp and in fous. I like it just the way it is. Nice job. |

You have wonderful details and focus and caught an interesting and humorous moment. I only wish that both eyes were visible and the right one wasn't cut off. |

Such a nice photo of this sunflower bud. The colors are great and everything that should be in focus is. Even the little "hairs" on the surrounding leaves are sharp. I like that the bud is centered and the diagonal line of the leaves adds interest to the composition. The blurred background is a nice touch too. I have no suggestions for improvement. |
