What a great capture! The birds shows up beautifully in contrast to the ark background. The only suggestion I have is to crop differently. Cropping in from the right, moves the bird off-center and on a crash point. I also added a vignette.I like the heron looking into the frame like this rather than out. |

What a wonderful capture. You did a great job of keeping the stars so focused. The schoolhouse is a nice anchor for the sky. At first, I wondered if you should clone out the lightpost, but decided no because it give the source of light for the building and I like the touch of green of the grasss below the light. I agree with David, that the clouds are a nice touch. Nice job! |

Beautiful colors and great details on the leaves. I wonder if you can crop up from the bottom and eliminate the green area in the lower right. Also, taking the image from a lower angle may have also worked well. |

Love this image which has a sense of mystery to it. It was nice of him to stand off center for you! Your post-processing was very good. The contrast and tones are perfect. The diagonal shadows across the building in the background just add to the interesting lines. Well seen and nicely done. |

Beautiful lighting and the moon completes this image. I also like the branches coming in on the right. I think you could crop in from the left to eoliminate the white windows. This is a really nice image. |

Ooops! I posted Robert's final image twice instead of the original. If I change now, we will lose the comments. I will be more careful next time.
This is a wonderful image composed thoughtfully. Love the lighting and arches, as well as the subtle colors. You controlled the exposure very well. I agree with David, that this would also make a nice monochrome image. Well done! |

Very nice framing in this photo. It makes for a nice composition. I do wish the ducks were a ittle more promient in the frame, though. Like mary Ann, I love the circular movement in the water. |

What an interesting character and expression. I like your crop very much - it's kind of "in your face" and it works for this subject. The monochrome works well and I also think the color version would look great. Nice details, but i think the skin has a little too much noise/grain. |

I like the set up and composition. Your photo tells a story, however, like Chuck, it is way too dark for me. I have to strain to see the objects. |

I like this scene and the reflections in the water. I get the feeling of a quaint town in Europe. Both the monchrome and color versions are nice. Good eye! I would suggest cropping out the building to the left. It seems that the porches are a little too modern for the scene and don't add anything to it. I cropped the phot and added a vignette. |

Good architectural details with nice focus, contrast and tones. It makes a nice monochrome. The shadows are great. I like the space you left at the bottom and like Mary Ann, I wish there was more space at the top to balance the composition. |

For me, this is more of a snapshot. The people in the back and the lady with her leg cut off are distractions, as are the two printed papers in the front. |

I like the shutter speed and soft flow of the water spilling down. Cropping out the background and leaving just that portion of the frame would make an interesting abstract. As it is now, I agree with Jessica that the background needs to be in focus. |

Good eye to see it! It looks like he was posing for you. You have reasonably good focus. I agree with Tom that you could crop up from the bottom. |

I often shoot my still life and flower shots just like your set up. You have nice lighting and great focus on you foreground flower. I have no suggestions to improve that, however, I think the photo would be more pleasing without the two background flowers, especially since your focal point flower is merged with the one behind it. |

You really have wonderful focus on this flower. Everything is tack sharp. I find this very hard to do. Technically very well done. I find the composition a little awkward for my taste. I don't think you need the petal to the right which pulls my eye away from the stamens and pistils. After cropping it, I took it into Camera Raw and using Color Mixer, reduced the luminence of green significantly and added a vignette. I thought it left no doubt of what you wanted me to focus on. |

You learned well from your trials and tribulations during this shoot! The hair separation seems to be a success and I love the soft glow around her. Great capture of her eyes which connect with me right away. Nice choice of background, too. What an adorable dog! My only suugestion is to consider cropping up from the bottom a little to eliminate the blur of the leg and to the left of the leg. |

The allium is in great focus and stands out nicely from the beautifully blurred background. The lighting and soft colors are lovely. I have no suggestions for improvement. |
