Not sure if resizing had anything to do with it, but remember, the size submitted should be not larger than 1024 pixels width and 768 height and 140 resolution. I have had to resize many photos that are submitted, but it has never changed the focus before that I know of. |

I like both David and Joseph's suggestions. I think you have a lovely idea and the blue of the water sets it off nicely. As a reflection, I would like to see just a little bit of what is being reflected above the water line. |

My first thought is - what a beautiful reflection. My second thought is - what a wonderful job you did removing the pipe. That really improves the image. The slight curve of the water leads my eye into the frame. I find myself wishing I could see more of the barge; at least the whole name on the side. I used the Tonal Contrast and Darken/Lighten Center filters in Nik Color Efex to make it "pop" just a little more. |

What a great shot and what wonderful details you have in the frog and I especially love the eyes. I have always wanted to get a good frog pic. For my taste, I think there is a little too much space to the right of the frog. I cropped in and flipped the image - just a matter of taste. It's wonderful the way it is. |

I think this is a really lovely shot. What a good job you did in post processing to bring out the details and colors. Your depth of field is perfect. I love the yellow leaves and think the vibrant color is very realitic, however, the blue in both the sky and mountains seems a bit over saturated to me. |

I resized the image.
I like the composition, curve and reflection very much. I find the image very soft and unfocused. |

I think you have a point. I redid my post processing. I didn't use the tonal contrast filter this time. Please tell me what you think now. |

I like this peaceful scene in both color and monochrome. I also like your crop edit much better. There seems to be a lot of noise in the sky which could be easily taken care of in Camera Raw noise reduction. |

The frog is reasonably sharp and has a great catchlight in his eye. For me, the light background at the top of the frame is a little distracting. I would like to see a little more separation of the frog from the background. Maybe darkening the background or adding a vignette would help focus on the subject. |

I think you did a reasonably good job of removing the wires. It's sometimes tedious, but I think it paid off here. You have great focus, tones and exposure. For me, the subject isn't very interesting - I would have liked to have seen the whole walkway. |

I like that you moved the fisherman and boat off center in your crop. This is so moody and I think you have very effectively used negative space to tell this story. I like it! |

Welcome! I just love shots like this. Your perspective is great and I really like the light coming in from the windows on the right. At first, I was going to say add a little more light, but after looking at it a while, I think the darkness with only a little light from the windows adds to the story. I also like the light at the end of the hall. Well done. |

Technically, very well done. Everything is in focus. For me, it doesn't tell the story and I'm not sure where to look. |

I love rust and texture and you hit the jackpot here. Since the rust and textures are the main attractions, I suggest you crop in significantly to just a section of this instead of showing the whole item and surrounding area. You could have several images/areas of interest. |

Love the subject and colors. I am not a fan of your texture treatment, though. My first thought is that it could be an old master's painting subject. I took it into Topaz Impressions and turned it into a painting and removed the bright spot at the top and the darkness on the left and right bottom. I also added a vignette. See what you think. |

Old things are so interesting. I think a square crop is the way to go. You have interesting shapes and curves as well as textures. If you have a chance to go back to photograph this again, I would like to see the top of the fan blade in focus. I'm not sure the dark contrast does this subject justice. There are too much black areas where there are details in the original shot that would enhance the photo, in my opinion. |

The rose has lovely curves and I like that you shot it from behind. The background is nicely blurred which provides nice separation of the flower which makes it stand out nicley. I would suggest cloning out the blueish bump at the bottom of the stem and the two pink spots on the right. Can you add color and darken the center leaf? It's so bright that it pulls my eye there. |

I really like your subject and the treatment. The focus, exposure, color and contrast are all great. I like the centered composition for this subject. My only suggestion is for your crop. I don't like that some of the outer petals are cut off. I suggest either showing the whole succulent (the background green really sets it off nicely), or crop in tighter. |
