That face! As David said, you have nice details and focus. The eyes are great with catch lights and they draw me right in. I like David's crop very much. A great find and nicely done. This would do well in a nature competition. |

What a lovely, pastoral scene with good details and colors which are handled nicely. I would suggest getting lower next time for a different angle where you don't look down on the flowers as much. I also don't think you need the sky and could crop down from the top. The flowers are the stars of the show. |

I really like this moody photo. There is just enough detail to make it interesting. This is so well done. Other than agreeing with David's crop suggestion, I have no other suggestions. Very nice! |

I have always wanted to get a good photo of a milkweed. I wish this were mine! You have such wonderful clarity and focus. I love the details and black background, which really makes the pod stand out. The diagonal makes a wonderful composition. Nice job! I wouldn't change a thing. |

I have never seen one of these flowers. So interesting and you did a good job capturing it. I agree with David, that the bokeh balls add interest and there is a little noise on the flower which can easily be reduced. I would also suggest cropping down from the top to make it a square which I think makes a stronger composition. |

You come up with the most interesting things to photograph! I like the square frame and the composition where the glass is sitting on the V tip of the placemat. The dark background shows off the rims of the glass and the ice very well. I favor the monochrome over the color. |

Welcome to the group! You have a very nice scene and I like you panoramic vertical crop very much. You have placed the horizon in a good spot compositionaly and you have caugh the focal point wave at a good time in the action. For my taste, the overall exposure is too dark and the details on the rocks don't show. I took it into Camera Raw and opened the shadows. |

I find your artistic version so much more iteresting. I really like the treatment you have added. It draws my eye up and into the frame. The lines are now the main focus. I like the light vignette around the edges, too. Nice job being out of your comfort zone! |

You captured her personality in her eyes above the mask. This would make a nice advertising photo for her with all the appropriate information for her customers. If you were to take one for that purpose, I might ask her to remove her glasses from over the logo on her shirt, but you still have all the info behind her. For my taste, a straight, well focused, well exposed photo without the film effect and flare would be more desired. Her skin tone is much better in the larger photo. |

Paul, I like the compositon and long vertical crop. I prefer the original with a higher contrast to really make the flowers stand out. I agree with you, that the details need to stand out more. |

What an interesting subject. Your faocus and details are spot-on and your crop/composition is very good. My only suggestion is to add a vignette to keep the viewer's eye in the frame. |

What an intricate design these petals make! I love the diagonal line of the stem and flower, as well as the rich colors and composition. The background is nicely blurred. If I were to suggest anything, it would be to clone out the bright green stem protruding in on the bottom right and maybe the vertical brighter green line on the far right. |

You captured an emotional shot which tells a story. Makes me want to know more. You have nice skin tones and her eyes are captured well with catch-lights. The lighting on her hair is lovely. My only suggestion is to crop and clone out the begining of her hand in the bottom left and use a vignette to pull the viewer right in to her face. |

Very nice details on the petals and as Jessica said, the rain drops add interest. I find the bright spots in the top half of the background distract me from the flower. I think this may have more interest in color. |

You have remarkable clarity, detail and exposure in this image. The color is great, as well. Technically, well done. Compositionally, I might have liked a horizontal/landscape crop showing the bottom of the donkey tails and not as much of the fountain. Perhaps cropping down to show just a little of the concrete. As it is now, I am not sure if you wan me to focus on the plant or design of the fountain. |
