I didn't notice the repeating patterns at first, but now that really draws my eye to it. I will fix that asap! Thanks. |

Such a lovely and peaceful scene that is well captured. I think you have reasonably good focus on the trees that are almost silhouettes. I love the subtle colors. My only suggestion is the same as David's; to get rid of the portion of the tree to the far left. Very nice indeed. |

Very nice capture of a lovely butterfly. I like the colors and you have good focus on the butterfly and his legs. The nicely blurred background helps the butterfly to stand out. I would suggest cropping the bottom to just above the brown spot; removing it as well as the other butterfly which, for me, is a slight distraction. |

Nice capture with reasonable details. I think removing the background clutter let's us focus on the bird. You have good catchlight in the right eye. It's unfortunate that the focus falls off so much by his other eye. |

This is a lovely scene and including the foreground adds such depth. You have wonderful details in the foreground rock and the distant background is nicely burred. Your nice sky also adds interest. Well done! |

So crisp and sharp. Your focus is amazing and the reflections in the glass are handled so well. This is suburb. Like Don, I think the blue color adds so much to the photo and the reflections of the legs are wonderful. This would make an awesome metal print and would be a sinner in any competition you would enter. SO well done. I wouldn't change a thing. |

You have wonderful shapes, lines and textures. I like the soft tones on the rock formations, but not the sky which is so plain with an unnatural color for my taste. It looks like it was added. Was it the original sky? I think doing a sky replacement would take this photo to the next level and the contrasting colors of the rocks and a soft blue sky would be very appealing. I also agree with your wife, monochrome would work well. |

I don't think so. I like what it does to your lighting; focusing on the middle. |

I like the pods on the right. You have reasonably good details and contrast, but I agree with Michael that they get lost in the background. If you know you are going out for a photo like this, you could bring a dark foam board or use your jacket to block out the background. Michael was able to successfully darken the background in his first visual feedback so the pods stood out. I find them so interesting and have never gotten a good photo of them yet. |

I think your flipped version works so much better. You have a great composition and wonderful tones and details. I have taken a few pics here, but nothing as good as yours. I don't know how you got this angle, but it's wonderful. I wouldn't change a thing. |

This is all about textures and nature's abstract art for me. Your details and exposure are perfect and I find this image very appealing. The lines and curves take me throughout the frame. Although there is no main subject, your lighting gives me a focal point to rest my eye after exploring the whole image. This would make a lovely print. Well done! I can't think of any suggestions for improvement. |

I think the monochrome version shows the details a little better. I like how the flower fills your frame, but there are no border merges. The lighting on the flower is beautiful, as well. I like Michaels's darkening of the background which removes the distractions. |

I like the angle of the sign, as well as the textures. I wouldn't crop in any more because I think the surrounding environment shows where this is and what it is like there. This would make a great intro to a travel book or show of photos for that area. As a stand alone image, I found myself far more interested in reading the words than seeing the image as a whole. Technically, extremely well done. |

You handled the ice and brightness so well and I love the Bokeh effect. It fits the subject so well. Very nice lines, composition and exposure. I like it! |

I like your composition and the graceful lines of the flower. I like your idea of using a color background to help isolate the flower, however, I see what the others have mentioned; for some reason, it appears as if you selected the subject and placed it on a different background, which I know you didn't. For my taste, I would like to see more detail. To my eye, the flower appears a little flat. |

I really like this almost abstract image. You have a nice composition with the spot on the line of thirds and I like the horizontal line in the center of the frame. Congrats for seeing the artistic merits of this scene. I wouldn't change a thing. |

You are so creative in your choice of subjects for your macro work. I agree with Bob, that you have an appealing composition and I think you gave it a nice crop, although you might see if you also like it with the partial gear to the right cropped out. Can you clone to cover that one bright spot? You have a nice range of tones and I think this really works in monochrome. |

I didn't notice the gray on the bottom before. I went back to look at the original where it was green. Guess it mist have been something with the post processing. I did convert it to monochrome also, so maybe I did something there??? |

I love the graceful curves and the lighting which seems to come from within the flower giving it a nice glow. The tones of the background don't bother me. My only nit pick is the merger of the tip of the flower with the border. |
