I retook the photo against a plain background. |

I doubt if they would be used for salmon since we live in the Midwest. I think my father tied these, but they were mixed with others. |

I see your point, David and Don. I think I will try it again with a simpler background. |

You have successfully handled the silhouettes of the grasses, maintaining good details. I especially like the layers you have here. I think you could crop down a little on the sky to make it more of a panorama. Very well done. This would look nice printed and hung. |

Such a lovely, peaceful scene with nice color. My only suggestion is to bring out just a little more detail in the background mountains if you can. The highlight for me is the background mountain just to the right of center with the gorgeous morning light. Well done! |

What a wonderful shot of this eagle. You stopped the action perfectly with great details on the bird. There is good separation of the eagle from the background. Excellent job. I wouldn't change a thing. |

You have very nice lighting and good details; while keeping her skin soft with good skin tones. Her eyes are nicely handled and you even have a nice catch-light. I like David's crop, keeping her bare arms out of the shot. Nicely done. |

David, this is beautiful. I love still life photos and this is a real winner. I like the simplicity of the composition and your lighting is exquisite. My only, very small suggestion is to darken the white daisies just a little. They bring my eye up and out of the frame. |

Such a nice shot with great clarity. I love the bright colors against the black and the composition is very nice. I especially like the row of lit windows in between the fireworks bursts. At first i wasn't sure about the lean of the building, but the more I looked at it, the more I liked it. Very artistic and well done. |

In my opinion, there is way too much water. I would crop 2/3 of it from the bottom. |

I like the monochrome treatment of this image. You have very nice, focus, contrast and clarity. The sky compliments the scene very nicely, especially the faint rays of sunlight. My only suggestion is to reduce the noise in the sky which shows up on my monitor. Otherwise, very nicely done. |

I think this scene is better as a monochrome. The reflection in the water on the left shows up much better in black and white. The curved, meandering dry creek bed provides a nice leading line carrying my eye through the frame. My only suggestion is to add more contrast to make it "pop". |

Well done! I like both the monochrome and color versions. You have nice details throughout and the feathers are well handled without the white being blown out. I also like the vignette. I wouldn't change a thing. |

There is so much texture to this dead flower! The monochrome version really highlights the lines and shapes. I like the softness of the stem behind the flower. My only suggestion is to not crop down so that the leaf merges with the top of the frame. Leave the room that was in the original shot and clone out the bright spots that would then come back on the top left. |

I like the idea of framing the sailboat, but unfortunately, for me, the blur and lack of detail of the tree trunks and leaves are distracting and really take away from the tranquil scene on the water. |

Very creative pursuit! The shadow gives an interesting, free-flowing shape that contrasts with the lines of your subject. I have two suggestions: 1) don't crop so closely on the left - the main subject is barely in the frame - give it room, and 2) try this in monochrome. |

Such a lovely image. I love the crop, rich colors and beautifully blurred background. You have nice details in the edges of the leaves even though the photo is soft (which really works here). My only suggestion is to darken or clone the two bright green spots on the right. |

In my opinion, monochrome was definitely the way to go with this image. Love the details and textures and the cobwebs make it special. The wagon wheel shadow adds to the interest. Nice job! |

I like what you have done. It would make a very nice Christmas card. You did a great job of applying the texture background layer. My only suggestion would be to make the background green to make the Santa stand out rather than blend in. |

I love the colors and clarity in this shot. The many facets of the ornament make for an interesting image. Do you have the whole ornament in your original shot? My only objection is to cutting off the tips of the ornament on two sides and the merger on the bottom. |
