This is an interesting presentation of the cactus flower and the bee adds interest. For me, the bright oval with a hard edge doesn't quite work in this nature scene. In a more abstract presentation, it might. Like David, I would like to have seen the bee more in focus. |

I really like photos of great blue herons and you have a nice one here. I like David's edit very much, especially darkening the rocks in the front. How lucky you are to have him so close. I'm sure you will have several more shots of him. |

Nice capture of the deer in such a beautiful setting. The spots of color from the brown eyed Susans add interest. I agree that cropping out the tall blurred weed to the left would improve the image. |

You captured a wonderful moment. I like the diagonal lines of the birdhouse. As mentioned above, I would like to see a little closer crop and details of the mother bird's head. Maybe lightening the head would also let us see her eye. It's a nice shot with good interest and appeal. |

I'm impressed that you kept such good focus with your heavy cropping. The details of the eyes and hairs are excellent. This image has impact. I was instantly drawn in to look closer at the detailed eye. I don't know much about Topaz Gigapixel AI, but I intend to find out more after seeing your photo. |

You did an excellent job with your post processing. The original appears flat, but your edited version brings the scene to life. You did a wonderful job of removing the cables in the sky and it was well worth your time. The colors and details are very good. I like the you avoided the temptation to oversaturate the color. Overall, I fine this to be a very interesting and well executed image. |

Thanks, Don. I see your point about the shell being too bright. That's why I like this group so much. It's great to get the feedback before I submit to our camera club competition. I tried darkening it some. Better? By the way, in my description, I wrote glasses when I meant pipe. I bought them both at the antique store! |

Thanks, David. I was trying my hand at high key photography where the light takes away any harsh shadows. I usually like a lot of texture and details, so this is something really different for me and seemed to fit the subject. I wanted feedback, especially since it's not my usual style, so I appreciate your comments. |

It's all about leading lines and a great sky! This subject and composition are great. The monochrome version adds more drama and contrast to the sky. My suggestion is to brighten the middle a little to really bring the viewer's eye to the focal point. I used the radial filter in Camera Raw to lighten the center just a little. I also love the colors and textures on the walkway in the color version. |

You have wonderful details and I like the diagonal of the ship. Your son did a fantastic job. I think it would be great to clone it and put it in a sea full of waves. It could tell a good story. Photographer Glyn Dewis does some wonderful photographs using model planes against interesting skies to portray very realistic images. |

I love the way you stopped the action with so much clarity and focus in the subjects. I like the way the two motorcycles and rides mimic each other's position. The contrast is perfect. My only suggestion is to crop just below the words on the top. They are a bit of a distraction for me. |

What a wonderful sky! For my taste, while the monochrome version is nice, but I prefer the color version. For your monochrome image, I think you could increase the contrast to give it more dimension and "pop". I am a little torn if I want to focus on the sky or the buildings. My eye keeps jumping back and forth. Maybe you could try cropping a little off the top of the clouds, making it even more of a panorama. |

I've been reviewing and reworking several of my old photos, as well. I'm not getting out at all! Another great portrait from you. I love the textures and details. Both the color and mono versions are excellent, but I prefer the monochrome just a little more. The slight blur of the mallet gives the sense of motion. He looks very intent on his task and you have nice separation of the figure from the background. I also like the composition and cropping. |

Technically, this is perfect. The details and contrast are spot-on. I have not heard of Irfanview before. I will have to look into it. As far as interest, for me, I would like to have seen more of the surrounding area/context. |

First of all, I love the colors and the diagonal of the flowers. You have nice details and a very beautiful subject. I couldn't resist playing with it a bit. I toned down the brightness some, used the healing tool to remove the blown out highlights on the petals, removed the background at the bottom right and added a vignette. |

I love this image with the nicely blurred green background and soft background flowers. You handled the white of the main flowers perfectly with good details. My suggestions have already been mentioned above: crop out the bud grouping to the far left (they lead my eye out of the frame) and crop out the one blurred stamen of the main flower. I think your vignette is great. You should definitely make a print of this. |

I like what you've done here. You managed a difficult task of making the subject stand out when its appearance is meant to camouflage and blend in with the environment. The detail on the praying mantis is very good. Even his antennae are sharp. My only, very small, suggestion is to consider cropping down from the top just enough to cover the blurred, bright leaf at the top left. I wouldn't want to crop out the bright, sharp leaf in the top right, though. |

This is very beautiful and the colors are gorgeous. You have wonderful details, contrast and lighting. The blurred, dark green background really sets off the flower. We both went with water droplets and a flower this month! I think the drops of water really add to your image. Nice job! |

I love your subject and the idea of using salt is brilliant. I like the dramatic lighting very much. I think the centered composition is fine with this close-up. I would like to see a little more detail in the sand dollar and I think monochrome would work very well with this. The aqua color of the sand is a little distracting for me. |

I really like these plants and the photographic possibilities with them The colors are beautiful and they have such nice shapes. I've seen some great monochrome images done of this succulent, as well. Fr my taste, the photo is a little bright and some of the background is distracting, especially the bright horizontal line in the top portion. I would recommend a closer crop at the top. |
