Wonderful photo. You do an excellent job with night photography and this is no exception. You have impact and excellent clarity. The only tiny suggestion I can offer is to crop some off the bottom, right under the smooth water. |

I like this in monochrome and the high key treatment. I have always wanted to take a photo like this. The reflections are a nice touch and keep the reeds from "floating" in the frame. It may be a little busy, but, for me, it works. |

Welcome to the group! You have started off with a beautiful image. The colors and light are great and your depth of field is excellent. For me, opening the shadows works. You have nice details and I like it the way it is. I don't have any suggestions for improvement. Well done! |

The graceful, soft shadows are lovely and you have maintained texture in the white snow. It almost looks like sand! Technically, very well done. My suggestion is to crop out the sky. I don't feel it adds anything to your image and the snowy field is your subject.
As for your original #2 - sunset, I think the sky adds to this one. I would try it as a monochrome photo, but clone out the one bright spot in the sky. |

I agree with David's comments. I think that a monochrome version would be more dramatic, so I tried it. The blown out area on the Queen is unfortunate. Once again, you have found "art" in something that others might walk by and not see. Good eye! |

This is such a beautiful and graceful image. Your lighting is lovely and the posture and gesture of her hands are wonderful. I really like the shadow. It anchors the figure. Winner! I wouldn't change a thing. Congratulations on a beautiful job. |

Both the monochrome and color versions are very nice. You were able to maintain details in the white snow in what appears to be a sunny day. I like the fence in the foreground which, for me, gives the image depth. You have good details, exposure and contrast. If it were mine, I might consider cropping out the bright tree trunk on the right. Well done! |

You certainly caught and stopped the action. The expressions are wonderfully intense and the all important rule of sports photography of seeing the ball is followed here. You have nice contrast and focus. My only small suggestion is to crop the pole on the left as it drags my eye there and out of the frame. |

I like both the mono and color versions. You have wonderful details (especially the ferns in the background) and this is just the kind of photo I like! The only small suggestions I have are to darken some areas in the background to provide more depth and to lighten the car frame some to separate it from the background a little more. |

A very peaceful, moody shot. I really like the foggy haze and panoramic composition. However, I would suggest cropping half of the space between the island and right side of the frame so the focal point is not centered. I think you will still have the feeling of vastness and distance. |

I am a big fan of your portraits. No one does it better! Technically excellent in every way - exposure, contrast, focus, eye contact, etc. The mono version is so much better, for me. The many colors on her lap surrounding the baby makes the color version too busy for my taste. I find her expression to be distracting, however. I'm not sure what to make of it. |

You have good depth of field and "layers" of foreground mid-ground and background. You have nice details, especially in the evergreen trees which sometimes tend to blur together. For me, though, there may be a little too much "dead space" in the middle. The symmetrical composition emphasizes that. I think it would have more interest if there was something there for me to focus on, such as a horse or person walking in the distance. I also think your sky and mountains could be darker and with less noise. |

This is an interesting and unique abstract that is nicely handled. The bright colors contrasted against the beige paper weight center adds interest. Super idea! |

Great color, focus, and exposure. I like the black background and double orange strokes to frame it. The curve at the top of the flower makes the composition so appealing. Nicely done. |

You have nice details and I agree with Nelson that it would make a nice monochrome image, especially if you increase the contrast. If you have more of the leaf in your original shot, I would suggest having the main vein on a diagonal. |
