Beautiful image. I find orchids hard to photograph keeping the entire flower in focus. You handled it so well. Love your lighting and dark background. This is a winner! I hope you enter it somewhere and frame it. |

Excellent focus and exposure in a difficult environment of movement and low/artificial lights. Her pose and the gesture of her hands are superb. Did you get any shots of her facing you? |

I really like your subject and your composition. The diagonal line of the bow adds interest. How lucky you were to have such a great background. He has a look of concentration; like he is blocking out the rest of the world. I only wish it were sharper. |

I think monochrome was the way to go in this image and I agree with Charlie that the background needs to be darkened down quite a bit to remove the distractions. The car is very sharp with great focus. |

Very creative! I have to say that I like it better flipped vertically like the original. For me it looks like a very nice reflection rather than a watercolor version. I'd keep it as a reflection and in doing so, the floating weeds would fit right in. I like the strip of the rocks leading to the reflection and think they are kind of confusing on the bottom. They help ground the image in the original. I might suggest lowering the saturation on the tree in the middle. |

I see your point. I toned the table down. Better? |

wonderful sky. You could try to add more details and contrast (like Gordon said) to the clouds though and darken down the foreground or crop it out, keeping the interest on the sky/clouds. There may have been a more interesting angle for your shot. I love the stairs on the left and wonder if taking the shot looking up the stairs to the clouds would have worked. I'm not sure if the title fits. |

You captured the action perfectly and have wonderful details. Their express tell the story. Excellent work! A winner in photojournalism or monochrome PID. |

Your fish eye lens worked beautifully and I love the circular crop. I've taken some photos here and they didn't come out nearly as good. Very sharp and with great tonal range. Love it! |

I really like this peaceful image, especially the softness of the water. You have great tonal range and depth of field. Your focus is good, too. My only suggestion is with the composition. I agree with David to keep the top of your original and crop the bottom. The shore takes up too much space, in my opinion. |

I like the color version best. I love the soft yellow light on the snow. I really like the treatment on the color version and the neon pants don't bother me, although I might try to tone them down just a bit. Great perspective with the three walkers in a triangle pattern pointing down the street. I like it! |

Wonderful reflections in this crisp, well focused architectural shot. I like your mono version best - good choice. I don't mind the text in the lower portion of the building as it is subtle. However, my eye is drawn to the R at the top. I'd crop right below it. |

The edges of your main flower are very sharp and your overall focus is good. I also would suggest cloning out the red bud and darkening down the background. |

I love what you have done with this. The details, lighting and textures are superb! I would clone out the logo, but it is a fantastic image, logo or not. |

Love the pattern in the reflection - both the flag and the ripples. I've been trying the technique with a strawberry splash and it took so long to get the right splash. |

The contrasting colors and exposure from right to left lend interest to this image. You might consider cropping in on the right side to eliminate the blurred petals in the lower right. |

You did a great job getting a very sharp image with the wind blowing. Impressive, indeed. It is unfortunate that the grey stripe is there. It does distract me from the flower. Your technical skill is great, though. |
