I really like this shot. The contrast between warm and cold, and hard lines and soft circles adds drama and interest. I also love the color palette. |

You did a great job stopping the action. You even got a trail of water which shows movement of the eagle rising from the water. Getting the fish in his talons makes this a wonderful nature story. Well done, Charlie! |

You took this at just the right time of the evening. Love the dark blue sky and the way the lights contrast so well. It is an interesting scene. My only suggestion is to try to make it a little more in focus/crisper. |

This image is all about shapes, shadows and emotion. I like the monochrome treatment and it shows just enough detail. I would suggest adding a dark vignette to add to the drama. |

I really like the details of the corn kernels and strands of silk. I like that the background is blurred, but think that if it were darkened it would make your main subject "pop" (no pun intended!) I would give it a tighter crop, as well. |

I can see why you were drawn to this scene with the dark contrast in colors and light and dark. I would be tempted to crop a little off the bottom, still leaving a little of the orange. I also wish you had taken this with several exposures (not on your cell phone) merged in HDR to bring out some of the details in the dark shadow of the building and to give a crisp outline of the building against the wonderful sky. |

I like the nostalgic feel of this image. I also like the second version and, like David, I would crop below the small triangle of window. |

I also like the monochrome version. In the color original, his cap blends in to the background to much. You have such amazing detail and are able to stop the action so well. You captured the moment beautifully. The crop on the bottom bothered me as well. I would crop the hand off, as well. |

I like the flipped version and adding more contrast which really made the needles and the design they create "pop". While the monochrome version is a great study in lines and shapes, i have to say that I like the color version, as well. |

It's a quite interesting scene that I may not have caught. I like the white barns against the night sky and love the stars which add more interest. I agree that the white barn needs more detail and really like the version that David did. Welcome to the group. I look forward to seeing more of your images. |

Her expressions are priceless and I like the figures in the frame with her. I like the changes jeffrey made and agree with you, David, that his version has a nice balance. You did a great job of keeping the details in her white dress and makeup. You find the most interesting people and scenes and this, like your other images, is a treat! |

This image is about textures and shapes. Your focus and exposure are very good and I agree with Karl and Jeffrey that it needs to be flipped. I would also suggest slightly darkening the edges to keep the eye in the frame. |

An interesting process that looks like a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing. I like your composition with the diagonal line. |

The sun on the leaf adds another element, except on the upper left of the leaf where it is somewhat blown-out. The veins and ice crystals are nicely captured and lovely. I would suggest significantly darkening down the background to make the main leaf really "jump out". |

The first thing that struck me was the lovely colors of the bee and flower. I also like the movement you have captured in the wings. I feel that the purple flowers on either side of your main stalk are distracting, as are the dark spots in the background. I used the spot healing brush to the dark spots and cropped to eliminate the extras flowers. I also used Nik Color Efex Lighten/Darken Center to give the focal point more emphasis. |

What a difference your edit made! Getting rid of the yellow beam completely transformed it. Extremely sharp and clear with good contrast and color. I would have liked to have seen more of the fire on the bottom, though. |

Nice tones and colors. I would also suggest cropping off the different toned petal on the left. I am not sure where my eye should settle; I keep looking for a focal point. |
