45 Aug 17 Reply Here's another version I went back and did. Thoughts....? Aug 16th
45 Aug 17 Comment Wonderful details and exposure and the S curve of the river leads my eye right into the scene. The small clouds in the sky add interest but don't distract from the rest of the scene. One very small suggestion would be to crop to just below the clumb of bushes on the right bottom. Aug 4th
45 Aug 17 Comment I love your idea. While I like the use of foreground to add dimension and perspective to a landscape image, I feel that your main subject gets lost in this one. You could improve it some by a little closer crop on the bottom and right, but it still leaves me wanting to see the details of the shack. Unfortunately, the brightness of the sky pulls my eye up and away from the scene. Aug 4th
45 Aug 17 Comment Congrats for seeing the photographic possibility in this scene. I'm afraid I would have missed it. I agree with Don that cropping down lower on the bonnet would eliminate the lightest area and wouldn't hurt your overall scene. Your colors and details are very nice. I would also consider significantly darkening down (or replacing) the background to eliminate the distractions. I'm not sure black is the way to go, but I did a quick edit to show elimination of the background. Aug 4th
45 Aug 17 Comment You really captured his expression which tells the story for me. Nice details and gesture. I also like your color version and would like to see what that that looks like after you post-process it, as well. I agree with Don that cloning out the light at the bottom of the stage curtain would make the image even stronger. I might have left more stage room in the front because I really like the shadow of the curved arm in the original. His gestures are so important to your scene. Aug 4th
45 Aug 17 Comment I think you have the start of a very nice photo. Your depth of field is great for this scene and I love the beautiful back-lighting for your focal point flower which you have nicely separated from the background. Your image does perfectly represent early morning. In my feedback, I eliminated the small strip of sky because it's brightness pulls my eye to the top of the frame. Then I brightened the focal area some and increased the contrast and saturation just a little. Aug 4th
45 Aug 17 Reply Great feedback. Thanks! I'll try it. Aug 2nd

50 Aug 17 Comment Good advice from both if you. What do you think of this crop/edit? Aug 14th
50 Aug 17 Comment I wish I could take action shots like you! Wonderful capture! The blurred background shows the motion, but your details are so sharp. The only suggestion I have is to crop a little from the bottom because almost 1/3 of your image is empty. I also added a slight vignette. Aug 6th
50 Aug 17 Comment I love old rusty cars and trucks because of their textures. The texture of the car body is very good. However, the area below the words, (as David pointed out) is a little bright and without as much texture. I hope you had a shot that also included the headlight which may add even more interest. Aug 6th
50 Aug 17 Comment I think monochrome was the right choice for this image. In the color version my eye immediately goes to the bright orange cranes. The clouds are a nice backdrop for your subject. Your composition and the details are great. My only suggestion is to darken the sky a little. Aug 6th
50 Aug 17 Comment You caught the "action" at just the right time. Their expressions are delightful and this makes a wonderful human interest image. The skin tones are nice and your exposure is good. I don't have a problem with your crop and wouldn't want to lose that cute baby fuzzy hair on the back of Ollie's head. I, too, like the monochrome better for the reasons David pointed out. Aug 6th

57 Aug 17 Comment Such wonderful details, especially in the wings! Excellent job capturing the dragonfly in such an interesting pose. The background is nicely blurred. The left end of the reed bothers me some and I think cropping in a little closer on that side would eliminate the distraction. Wish I could take such a sharp image of a dragonfly! Aug 18th
57 Aug 17 Comment The bud and the dragonfly are nicely separated from the background. I love the colors which are all crisp and vibrant. The details of both the flower and dragonfly (especially the wings) are excellent. Can't think of anything I would change. Very, very nice! Aug 18th
57 Aug 17 Comment Excellent shot with great details and a nice plain background that makes the dragonfly pop. Love it!

57 Aug 17 Comment The colors and sun are very nice in this shot. The blue sky compliments the orange color of the flower and I love the green stem and its details. I agree with Jessica, that I would have liked the tips of the petals above the stem to be in focus. Aug 18th
57 Aug 17 Comment You did an excellent job with your post-processing to really enhance the details and color of the leaf. In this case, I like the white background (it almost looks like a shot using a light-box). Since the background is white, you could easily put a little more room to the left of the leaf and, like Nelson, I would clone out the white dots and fix the middle of the stem where you got it a little too narrow with your masking.
