Thanks for the suggestion. I think it makes it a stronger image. |

Great capture. This image really tells a story. Your background is nicely blurred and you have good detail on the bird and its prey, as well as a catch light in the kestrel's eye. My only suggest is to add a slight vignette to help keep the eye in the frame. Nicely done! |

Original 2, the sunset in the forest is a great study in lights and darks. I really like the way the sun cuts a path from right to left across the forest "floor". I think it makes a great monochrome image. |

I really like your perspective in the daisies in the field shot. It really shows the setting where you found these flowers. Your foreground details add perspective. I would suggest darkening the image some and then highlighting the daisies on the right. Also, I would crop out the daisy to the extreme right which is partially cut off by the border and some of the left. |

I really like your photo and find it an interesting subject. For me, the focal point is the hot metal, hands and tools. I added some detail and then darkened the background, drawing attention to that area. Let me know what you think.
By the way, I was born in Worcester and lived in the area during my early childhood. |

I like that you caught the bee mid-flight and your composition in both the original and the after pictures is very good. I like the original better, though, because you seem to have lost detail when you zoomed in so tightly. |

Quite a unique shot with good exposure and focus. I really like the crop which reinforces the height of the painter. |

I agree about the group comments, Jeffrey. I like to post my images here before I enter them in our club's competition. |

I love the winding road and wonderful clouds. The road really leads my eye right into the image and up toward the top of the ridge. When I get there, though, I wish there was something for me to focus on (old truck, big tree, horse). Maybe as a result of sharpening, I see slight halos around the bushes on the ridge and they are lacking detail. |

I love your perspective in this shot - up-close and personal with a different angle. You have wonderful details. I'm not sure that I like the grainy effect on this one or Original 2 (personal taste). I do, however, really like Original 1 & 3 and have no suggestions for improvement on them. |

I think that it works in either monochrome or color. You've kept nice detail in the trees and clouds. I like it. I do have a suggestion for the composition. Although the reflection of the clouds is nice, I'm not sure if you want me to look at the sky or water and my eye keeps going back and forth. The trees and the horizon are both in the middle and I think a different crop could increase the interest. |

You captured a great moment which I think is very effective in monochrome. You could enter this in photojournalism as well as black and white. It tells a cute story. I like the composition. My only minor suggestion is to selectively sharpen the lady who seems just a little "soft" to me. Nice job. |

Another unusual and interesting portrait. You have the most interesting subjects, and you do them justice! The details are outstanding and I like the way you cropped this image. Your exposure is right on. I can't think of anything to improve an already outstanding photo.
By the way, congratulations on your Print of the Month featured in this month's PSA Journal. Love it! |

I love your subject and am impressed that you could take it without your own reflection showing. It's like a different abstract in every pane. I like it better as a monochrome image. I added contrast and darkened the edges. |

I like the lighting and shadows in this image. You did a good job preserving the details in the bright sun. The colors are natural and beautiful and nicely highlighted by the dark background. I like that you kept some of the greenery showing so the flower does not look like it is floating. |

Wonderful! Excellent details, contrast and color with a nicely blurred background. This is an excellent shot. My only minor suggestion is to try to lessen the grain in the background. Nicely done! I don't think I could ever get a shot like this. |

Good detail in the feathers and catch-light in the eye. The background is nicely blurred and I wish it were a little darker though. The fine hairs around the head add to your image. |

Such an interesting bud and I like the way it is splitting open. The bottom half of the bud is sharp, but the top half is out of focus and, as was said above, a little blown out. Unless you were planning to enter this in a nature competition, I would clone out the bright spots in the background which detract from your subject. |
