60 Feb 20 Comment Hi Denise,
I would never have guessed this colorful beauty was a tulip; eye-catching and sharp. I agree with Carol about the blues but not sure anything can be done; looks like it began to dry-out at those points. Try cooling down your white balance a bit then, if necessary, increase the red, yellow, green saturation as needed?

60 Feb 20 Comment Hi Doug,
Immediately found myself mesmerized by your hosta leaf; your passion is understandable. The black background facilitates focusing on the graceful flow and detailed texture of the leaf. Although 95% of the leaf is the same color, it is a rich shade/tone of brown that enhances the details of the leaf. The small mottled green section at the base tells you "I'm a hosta!"
Nicely done,
Lou

60 Feb 20 Comment Hi Carol,
The patterns/tectures really are eye-catching. If you're able to retake this, suggest stepping back enough to add an equal amount of space on the left, tilt the image to the left until the trunk is straight, then darken the green leaves. Unique and interesting image with a story of growth and survival.
Best, Lou

60 Feb 20 Comment Hi Bill,
This is graceful and well composed with contrasting colors that compliment each other. Remove color? I think you enhanced them. My guess at your "steps" would be a crop, addition of a vignette which would darken the periphery of your image, blackened a tad giving the colors a slightly deeper tone and maybe sharpened the overall image. This is a warm, eye-pleasing image. We'll be going to Longwood's orchid festival soon (hopefully) - beautiful and unique exhibits
