Hi Denise,
The features on the petals of your tulip are extraordinarily sharp. Your lighting and background combined to provide an extremely pleasing effect. At first, I thought I would prefer to see the entirety of the flower. After looking at it several times, your cropped (?) image might be forcing the eye to concentrate on its superb features. If that was your intent, 'ya done good!'.
Hope you enjoy the Spring,
Lou |

Bill,
This is a common macro theme that you've captured in an extraordinary manner.
Your crop is perfect; every feature of the image is appealing and interesting. Colors are soft and complimentary and the backlighting (thanks for the suggestion) adds immensely to the appeal of "your amaryllis". BTW, I have identical equipment and found your detailed setting info very useful.
Enjoy your Spring, Bill. |

Your patience was rewarded; this is an extremely appealing and interesting macro. The features I like the most are your capture of two different life-forms, the ultra sharpness of the main features of both, the complimentary colors, and your composition. Very well done, Bill. |

Hi Carol,
Spring is my favorite season and you've captured one of the reasons why. The re-darkening of the background is perfect; it immediately helped draw my attention to the soft colors and fine details of the petals. Found this to be a very soothing image. Re the leaf tip on the bottom right, I didn't give it a thought until you mentioned it.
Removing it and moving your copyright to the right (off the stem) are the only minor tweaks you might want to consider. Enjoy the Season! |
