And for me, as well. Bill has said it all - you set the bar high with this image. Very well done!!! |

Point well made. The black cloth is FAR superior to my vignette. Stared at this for a long time. The colors, composition, ultra sharpness of the center of the image from left to right, and the seasonal theme all gave me a peaceful, easy feeling. Thanks and Happy Christmas to you as well and to each of you! |

I agree with Bill's comments. If there was little or no wind, you my have been able to get more of the flowers in sharp focus with a higher fstop. You'd propably need your tripod to compensate for the resulting slower shutter speed. |

Bill, your detail is superb; fascinating image. The varied color tints and shapes make this most interesting. It begs to be studied closely! If you used a wide lens or doubled your distance with the macro, would you be able to get a larger pattern with the same excellent sharpness. Double the pleasure?? |

Very nicely done. Bill's comments are spot on; imparts a soft easy feeling. Initially the stems at the top kept catching my eye but couldn't decide whether or not cropping about an inch off the top enhanced the mood you captured in any way?? |

Thanks Bill. Tried the 105 macro; didn't capture the full dimensions of the shell as as well as the wide zoom did. Added the vignette just to ring your chimes. Couldn't resist. In truth it was the lesser of two evils. It was the only way I could clearly define the outside edges of the shell from the background without a lot of extra work. Will try a piece of black felt next time. Best! |
