Thank you so much for your comments. I apologize I did not title this image, "You and I" that gives the image romantic feel. |

The bee is so sharp and definitely the star. Agree the yellow flower is not sharp enough. Crop out most of the yellow flower would help reduce the soft yellow flower concern and also let your star shine. |

It is amazing you can handheld at 1/50 second and the subject is still sharp with f2.8. I would suggest increase the ISO to 200 or higher so the shutter speed would be faster. Maybe it happens so fast, you did not have time to adjust it. I agree the above three suggestions. |

Without reading your description, I thought the background is concrete wall. In terms of composition it lacks the main star. Left and right hand side of iris are competing the attention. if you have a choice of layer, either black or dark color would help iris stand out. If you can start photographing just one iris with dark background, it should improve the success. Iris is difficult to photograph. I don't have any successful iris flower image in my portfolio. I do respect your trying to make more artistic.

Agree the above four comments. The reason the whole strawberry is not sharp because the aperture set to 3.5. I am sure you took this image indoor and on tripod. Adjust the aperture above 8, it should be improved the sharpness. |

It is a great object to photograph because of the natural leading line. The light works so well and the reflection helps. Well gone. This is something I learn from my camera club to add stroke border if the background is dark color. By adding the border, the viewer knows where the border is and keeps the viewer eyes within the frame. |

I have done one image to increase exposure so the background turns white like yours. I think you have done very well with this image. The flowers and leaves color contract well with the white background. The diagonal composition and leading line works well. |
