No, I was on the outside of the building and shooting the reflection in the window. |

That looks like a cold miserable job. I might suggest cropping out the tools, waste can, etc. at the bottom and even the quad as I think the main subject is the man in the yellow jacket washing the pool. To me the distractions are a larger part of the picture and take away from the main subject. |

I had not noticed the car and think it would be difficult to remove. |

A very interesting idea. Do you have an app that puts the collage together? I rarely have to shovel snow where I live. Today it is a steady rain. |

It certainly looks cold. I think you did a great job eliminating the distracting elements and putting the focus on the snow laden tree. |

Beautifully done. I like that you included a small portion of the door frame and handle. Three elements; wreath, mailbox and door frame. |

Interesting to find this is in NJ, my first thought was the far east. Without seeing the original I'm assuming that there was not much color in the structure or statues so I think b&w works well. I like that the elephant statues are off to the left and not dead center. |

Mike, I enjoyed your article on 'The Haul Road" in the January PSA Journal. I lived in Fairbanks for almost five years and had the opportunity to drive with friends in the winter as far as Wiseman where we got stuck in the ditch. We stayed overnight at the Coldfoot Hotel. |

Sharon, I enjoyed your article on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan that was in the PSA Journal a couple of months ago. I grew up in the Lower Peninsula. |

Beautiful capture of this moment of action. Both herons are nice and sharp with great detail. Your post processing and crop work really well. I also like that you left a bit of the grass in at the bottom. Well done.
When you are shooting wildlife or action do you have your drive mode set on high? |

You have made calmness out of chaos. I love that you focused on this lone bird struggling through the storm to get something to eat. Your post processing is well done. I would not change a thing. |

Kudos for making the hike to reach these impressive elephant seals. I think your post processing is well done on the seal. If you want to keep the main seal as he is I would suggest removing the out of focus seal in the background. I feel it is more of a distraction than what it adds to the image. Sharon's suggestion of a tight crop on the main seal to highlight him as the main focus would be interesting to see. I think you have several options to explore. |

I can feel the thrill of the chase that you witnessed. As Sharon said there is never enough lens when you want it. Sometimes we just have to be happy with the memory of the moment. My only suggestion would be to try cropping tighter if you have enough pixels and just put the focus on the running cheetah. I think the cheetah on a full out run implies that the chase is on even though we don't see the prey. To me the sky doesn't add to the image so I would suggest cropping most of it out. |

Stunning image of this eagle. Sharp with great detail. I really like how you have cropped this. We often want to show the full eagle but where you have cropped this really puts the focus on the intensity in the eagle's eye. Well done. |

I like the pose of the elk, part butt shot, but the profile of the head with the light shining on the face and antlers is stunning. I can tell this is early morning with the elk wet from the dew covered vegetation. For me the foreground vegetation is too bright so I would suggest toning that down. The side and rear of the elk could be toned down some also so that those light areas don't take away from what I feel is the focal point, the elk's head and antlers. To me Mike's processing is too dark, at least the elk is too dark so maybe go in the direction Mike did but don't make the elk so dark. This would be a post processing challenge for me. |
