Incredible sharpness with that extreme crop. I didn't even notice the wings until it was mentioned. The sharpness of the flower and the bee's body grabbed my attention. Very nice. I'm still using an iPhone 12 mini but considering moving up to the 16 this fall. Will have to explore the difference in price and features between the 16 and 17 pro. |

Wonderful capture of the praying mantis. Lucky you to have one in your garden. Rotating the image so the insect is vertical and looking at the camera really works well. |

It would be fun to get the fireman in the gear standing next to the truck. Although the gear on the floor does look a little haphazard I believe that is what they do to rapidly put on the gear when the alarm sounds. The beginning of a good story. |

Nice composition to get in very close. To me the original looks sharper. I think filling in between the petals is a personal choice, both seem to work. |

An interesting way to capture the fireworks; comfortable and safe in your home. I would never have thought of trying it. I think they turned out great. One would think you were there in person. Did you hand hold the phone or have it on a tripod? |

You caught a great moment in time as the lion gets a morning drink. I like that you show him in his natural environment. I think that sometimes we want to clean up an image too much and then it doesn't look natural. I love the rim light around the face and mane. To me if you lighten the body of the lion too much then it will look unnatural as that side is in the shade. This is a tough one. I wish I had more to offer but I do like this natural habitat image you have captured. |

Thank you for the clarification on the bug ID. I had never head of a water bear and was about to look it up. Your decision to convert to b&w was a good one as I think it adds more interest to the image. I agree with Sharon on the crop. Although the ripples add to the story the main focus is the beetles and the tighter crop will bring them more to the front. |

Great catch as these little birds don't stop for long. Nice pose on the rock and with the bird looking slightly toward you. Nice catch light in the eye. I know you were shooting in a shaded location but for me the overall image looks a little too dark. However, I would not lighten it too much. I like the whole rock included as it is part of the story. |

WOW what an opportunity. It pays to always have a camera ready. Everything looks very sharp. You captured the best moment of him looking back at you and with one paw raised ready to make his escape. Nice little highlight in the eyes. I hope you get more opportunities to photograph this wonderful little bobcat. Well done! |

This makes me want to help the dragonfly get free. Great eye to find this subject and nice capture. To me everything looks sharp. I agree that the sky and yellow/orange in the dragonfly look a bit oversaturated. I find the composition more pleasing with the dragonfly looking to the right. Well done. |

A much photographed rock formation near Bandon. I think your post processing works well. Not a great sunset but you did get some color in the sky. I like the fog on the water. I'm a little confused why the water in the foreground is not milky with a 90 sec exposure. I'm wondering if cropping out the lower water, just leaving the fog and adding more sky might work better. Just a thought. |

I pushed the aperture beyond where I have probably ever gone trying to cut light as it was mid day and very bright and I wanted to use a slower shutter speed for the water flowing off the lip of the terrace. I should have dug out an nd filter. |
