Even with the tight crop I think the image held up well. Portrait mode worked well in blurring the background. Do you have macro mode on your phone? |

You find so many interesting things on your beach walks. I think the composition works well showing the creativity of the crocheted heart on a beach fence. It would be interesting to know if the red piece is the stat of a new creation. The blue bag at the bottom is a little distracting but I'm not sure "Touch Retouch" could take it out without distorting the fence. |

Such a peaceful composition that really invites the viewer into the scene. Including the foreground tree trunks nicely frames the sunlight patch. Even the tall foreground golden grass is a nice compliment to the scene. Nice eye and great capture. |

Cloud formations can be captivating. We often forget to look up. It looks to me like there is a bit of leaf at the top right, along the right side and bottom right. I have spent many workshops with a professional photographer who drilled in to us "border patrol." In other words check the border of you image for any thing sticking in so naturally my eye tends to go there. |

A very nice composition of the varied flora and colors in the garden. There is a nice balance with the large leaf plant and the smaller flowered plant at the bottom right. |

This is the end of Resurrection Bay which goes out to the Gulf of Alaska. It is tidal so at the time this image was taken the tide was out thus causing the braided estuary. |

In the right place at the right time. Love at first sight. The glow of the morning sun highlighting the dust in the air really makes this image in my opinion. I think your post processing on the elephant is wonderful. I like that you captured the moment when one leg was off the ground helping to show movement. I too suggest eliminating the blown out spot in the tree above the elephant. Beautiful! |

It was so nice that you found these two turtles sunning themselves. I think your post processing is spot on. Turtles are nice and sharp and I love their reflection in the water. I agree with making this a cropped panorama as I think it will put more focus on the turtles and move them out of the center of the frame. Well done. |

In my opinion you did a wonderful job capturing and post processing this image. Your post processing was very effective in hiding the fence in the background. I wondering if the masking selection of the background can be refined around the chest feathers to take out what appears to me to be some of the sky. I don't use LR so I don't know its capabilities. The head is nice and sharp with good catch light in the eye. Even thought you had to shoot up I think this is a wonderful portrait of the condor. I would suggest a fine white border around the image so the viewer knows where the edge of the image ends. |

A simple but captivating image of this dragonfly. Getting the sharpness of the insect, handheld at 160sec is amazing. Great eye and capture. I wouldn't change a thing. |

I don't see very many butterflies where I live and have never seen a hummingbird moth. I think your crop works well and the head looks sharp. Is that his tongue in the flower? I agree with Sharon on toning down the flower. It petals appear to be on the verge of being washed out. I see you reworked the image with Sharon's suggestions and I agree the flowers look nicer. Nicely seen and captured. |

Everyone is suggesting opening up the shadows more on the right bear. I did open them up some but was afraid to go too far and then it would look unnatural. I will have to give it a try. |

I did open up the shadows on the right bears leg but may need to do more. |

Thanks Mike. I have decreased the highlights and opened up the shadows on the right bear but maybe I should do more. I think I was afraid to do too much and end up making it look unnatural. |

Beautiful capture of this little guy. I like the square crop and I think you could still use it while giving the flower at the top and the ed leaf at the bottom a little more room. The muted background works well and the green in the bird and the flower nicely balance each other. Nice catch light in the eye. I have no suggestions for improvement. Well done especially handheld. |
