Very interesting image. I think your footprints would stand on their own as a unique perspective on winter and tracks in the snow. I'm not sure what I think about the flower. It adds a splash of color and juxtaposition to winter but it also seems out of place. I do like your imagination in adding the flower. |

I really like the multiple angles of the branches and the different tones of green. I'm wondering about a little tighter crop and also what it would look like in B&W. Great find and capture. |

I agree with the others on the loss of contrast and saturation from the original. To me the flowers look out of focus while the leaves in the background look more in focus. Were you using macro mode? |

Red can often be hard to photograph without blowing out the red. The phone camera did a great job. I agree that a vignette would help to put the focus more on the central blossom. It would also be fun to play with portrait mode in this situation. |

I'm intrigued by the bright green on the birds neck. Looking it up it seems to be during the breeding season. It's a striking addition to the plumage along with the green eyes. The background foliage doesn't bother me as I feel it is muted enough to not be distracting. I do think the bright green in the foreground distracts and competes with the beautiful anhinga and the green on its neck. |

Judith, this is a winner. You have become a master in flower photography and post processing. I love how you have isolated the iris against the sky and brought out the beautiful colors and textures. I think the softness of the sky behind the iris works really well. I wouldn't change a thing. Well done. |

This little guy really posed for you. It looks like his body is wet and he is trying to get dry. I like how is neck, wing and tail feathers are splayed out as it adds a unique look. He has a beautiful red eye. I searched for your bird but no luck. I might suggest cropping a little tighter. As I look at the original image and the edited image they don't seem to be the same image although very close. In the original image there is out of focus vegetation in the background behind the birds head and the edited version has in my opinion too much empty gray sky above the bird. In the edited version I would suggest removing the twig on the right and probably the ones on the left just behind the bird. I hope you can ID this bird. |

Beautiful portrait of this colorful bird. There appears to be nice detail in the head/eye and neck. I love the blue and orange on his neck. The feathers on the neck are sharp with detail but the focus drops off toward the back of the bird which I feel is ok. My one suggestion would be to tone down the green leaf just above his back, it draws my eye away from the bird. Possibly a vignette to decrease the background and put more focus on the bird. Great find on your last day. |

I think your capture of this beautiful bird and post processing are well done. Even though the tail feathers are not sharp I think the sharpness of the head and eye are the key elements. The implied action of scratching adds to the story. Even though the head and face are in shadow there is still nice detail. I like the drop of water falling from the foot. There is a spot of white just below and at the base of the bill that I would suggest removing. Well done. |
