Portrait mode was a winner in making the background soft and keeping the main subject sharp. I think we often forget to use some of the special modes on our phone cameras. Well done. |

Lots of mysterious pathways this month. I'll have to look up the history of Ft Hancock. So much history and intrigue in these old places. Your phone camera did a great job of handling the highlights and shadows. I love exploring places like this. |

Great "eye" to find the eye mural and your thought of the window looking into the mind. I like that the window is just a little bit off center. Well done and captured. |

I like your crop and post treatment as it really makes the scene look like a fall day. I'm wondering where the road leads? |

I like the curving line of the path as it goes off into the distance. Nice that you can use an infrared filter on the iPhone. The shadows are nicely enhanced on the walkway. |

This little guy has quite a mouth full. How lucky you are to have him in your front yard. Your extensive post processing is spot on. This is a beautiful image and I have nothing to offer other than "it's a keeper." |

You have captured an interesting bit of spring arriving. You have an excellent eye for finding the small miracles in nature. Your persistence paid off in capturing this leaf bud as it opens. I think it is acceptably sharp. Your treatment of the background helps set off the bud. Well done. |

Great detail in this little sparrow showing him in his environment. I really love the detail shown in his chest feathers which I'm guessing are enhanced by being fluffed up against the cold. My only thought is maybe a little more room on the left for him to look into. Great capture. |

What a treat to be in the warmth of your home and watch these lovely ladies trudge through the snow. The elk looking back at you really makes this image. I love the soft colors in the clouds as the sun sets and there was still enough light to get detail in the elk. A lovely image from your own backyard. |

Beautiful interaction between the parent and chick. Both birds look nice and sharp. My only suggestion would be to darken the piece of wood along the left side as my eye keeps getting pulled over there. |

You were in the right place at the right time to catch this little fellow. Going back and forth between the original and the processed one I think I prefer the original position of the bird. To me it seems to be a more natural position. It seems in the edited version the bird is hanging on for dear life. The soft background with muted colors works well and there is nice catch light in the birds eye. I find it interesting how the bird is hanging on to the branch with one foot grasping over the branch and one foot grasping under the branch. I think there is a nice story here. |
