You were in the right place at the right time. The sun peaking through the clouds, the God beams and those spectacular clouds make up a beautiful serene image. I really don't see any artifact along the mountains and if there is any I don't feel it distracts from the image. Well done and captured. Glad you were out to capture this special moment. |

Cats are far down the list of my favorite animals but sometimes I'm working to make an image to submit to the group. |

This was a setup in the laundry house and I was shooting from behind a rope. I didn't feel comfortable moving the iron so worked to include it in the image to give a sense of place. |

You had a difficult challenge. I don't know if the Samsung has a "live" mode on it as the iPhone does. If you do have that choice you could try that as it captures a series of images before and after you click the shutter button and then you can choose the best image out of the series. I think you can do the same thing in video mode but I have not tried it. I'm in a different camp as for me the boat in the corner is a distraction. My eye keeps getting pulled up there and to me the boat has no connection to the surfer. It's always fun to try new challenges. |

Nice flower with the bee adding interest. I'm sure you cropped a lot, but wondering if you could crop more without losing resolution. For me the vegetation surrounding the flower is distracting and overpowering the flower which is your main subject. If cropping more is not an option maybe blurring the surrounding vegetation would work. I'm not sure that is something that can be done in Snapseed or if you would need another app. Just a thought. |

Good eye to catch the "eye." The simple things in life that we pass by everyday can become conversation starters. I see the spider now that others have mentioned it. Ditto on removing the highlights at the top corners. |

First, I love the God beams coming through the trees. You are having too much fun being creative with your apps. Well done. I'm sure your great grandson loved it. |

Welcome to the group, Rita.
Richard and Robert have already mentioned the tilt of the tracks so no need for further comment. I love photographing trains and tracks. I think it would be fun to go back to this site in the fall to see if there is color in the trees. I like the aspect of looking down the tracks as they disappear at the horizon. For me the image looks a bit oversaturated/over processed. This may be the look that you like and that is ok, it's your image. |

I smiled when I saw this image. I have one just like it but it's an American Bittern swallowing a bull frog. When he finally got it down I don't think he could move as his throat was bulged out with frog. You are a master at post processing, far beyond my abilities. If I had not seen the original I would have thought you had the bird in ideal conditions (like when does that ever happen :)). Well done. |

A lovely flower and I like that you left the feather in it's place (I'm sure I would have removed it) and you added an imaginative title. At first look I thought the image was sharp but everything looks soft or out of focus except a small area on the front of the flower. This could be from handholding. I think it is an image worth working with and trying some creative edits. |

Ravens do add to the eerie feel of Halloween. I think your conversion to b&w works well. If you want to decrease the harsh light on the back of the raven you might be able to do that by painting it in with black and reduce the opacity so some light is visible. I have no idea if it would work and might make it worse. |

First, I'm so glad you folks who live in Florida are safe and sound.
I think your crop brings the ibis closer while still leaving enough room for him to move into the frame. I don't do heavy post processing either so it's always interesting to see/hear what others in the group would do. What a nice opportunity to have the flock stop by your house for a visit. I'm sure the wildlife were all drastically effected by the hurricanes and tornadoes also. |

You have captured a beautiful image of this hummer and I think the high key works well as you had the right background. The important parts of the bird appear to be tack sharp. I'm amazed that you were able to stop the wing movement even at 1/4000 sec. I have contemplated Judith's suggestion but in my opinion the blurred flowers in the foreground are so out of focus that I think they would be a distraction. In my opinion the simplicity of the image works well. |
