I love this image and very happy we got to see it. The conversion to B&W really works to bring out the details and takes away the color distractions. Even though the crop is tight on all sides of the hat I think it works well. The man does have a very photogenic face. |

Not McDonald's fries. If they had been the gulls and crows would have had them right away. |

We don't have these bugs in the PNW and maybe I am glad we don't. Great idea to place the dead but intact bug on a beautiful flower. It would have been fun to do some macro with a regular camera.
As a kid growing up in MI we would catch lightening bugs in mason jars. Of course we let them go. I don't know if you have "live" setting on an android but using that might work. When you turn "live" on and take the picture it actually takes about 11 images and then in editing you can choose the image you want. |

When we see sunflower images they are usually tight on the flower. I like this more environmental shot showing the flowers filling the foreground but also showing the farm land where they grow. Well done. |

Always fun to experiment and push the limits of a camera phone. Sometimes the results are amazing. Not too bad for such a tight crop. |

Kudos to you for having fun playing in the dirt. I tried this once and it was a total failure. The beautiful sunset really sets off the silhouetted animals (toys). Well done. |

WOW, I would not change a thing. For me a silhouette would not do justice to this beautiful animal. What is he intently looking at, is he roaring with his mouth open, and where is he going are all the questions that this image invokes in me. Those details would all be lost in a silhouette. The little streaks of light on the left don't bother me as the lion is looking in that direction and for me connect with his stare. |

I am amazed as I look at the original and then what you did to make such a wonderful image. The sepia tone really works in this image. I would suggest, like others did, to shoot at a higher shutter speed and use auto ISO. I probably would not have taken this shot or if I had would have thrown it out. But not Judith, she make a master piece out of it!! Well done. |

What a beautiful capture of this grebe. I agree with Mike and the straightening. I also felt he was swimming uphill. I also like Sharon's comments about taking out the background vegetation which could take some time. For me the grebe with his reflection and the golden ripples on the water are the main focus and everything else is a distraction. You nailed the focus on the grebes head and that beautiful red eye. |

I really like this minimalist look for the cattails. As already mentioned it is too gray. Snow is tricky but it needs to be overexposed to maintain the whites. Other than correcting the white balance I would suggest cropping more off the top and bottom to make it more of a panorama. Good eye to find this pleasing simple pattern in the snow. |

The bird posed very nicely for you. I like your crop to give a very intimate portrait. To me the image looks soft with nothing in sharp focus and that could be from the denoise program. If you have Topaz Sharpen you might see if you can recover the sharpness. A little more room in front of the beak would also give some breathing room. |

Beautiful capture of this butterfly. I really can't add much more than what the other's have suggested. In looking at your second edit where you said you did some background painting; there seems to be a color difference in areas from the right bottom of the main lower flower petals and it continues in other spots down that right side and across the out of focus flowers. |

Yes a lower angle would have been nice. However, this area is covered in oyster beds so we just do our best while respecting the beds. |

Hard to get a lower angle in this area as the birds are on oyster beds. Not cool to walk on them. |
