My first thought was "he can come to my house." I like the action and that he is not looking at you but concentrating on a tough spot. Nice soft background. Well done image of everyday life. |

A cold, windy stormy day to be on the shore. I like how the wave action is frozen and the people have just enough separation to make them recognizable. And they add great perspective to the image. I have a feeling you take a lot of walks along the ocean. |

There are a lot of lines and shapes making up this image. The wording does make me wonder if only employees can exit here and then I look closer and it looks like it says Next Exit which is confusing to my mind. Good eye to find these hidden gems. |

Love to see the first green of spring and know that summer is just around the corner. Nice crop to bring the bikers closer. |

I prefer the b&w as it makes the details standout. You did a great job removing all of the extraneous distractions. I would suggest removing the distorted bud on the right. |

Beautiful sunrise desert image. I'm torn as to if the image is crooked as the main tree in the foreground looks straight but the mountain looks like it is going down hill to the right. Maybe it is an obstacle allusion. It would be nice if the barbwire fence wasn't in the image but you may not have been able to get the image any other way. The area is dark enough that I don't find it distracting. |

It was pretty much mid day or around noon. |

Nice environmental action shot of the Topi. On my safari to Kenya we would often see a Topi standing guard on a termite mound. They aren't one of God's most beautiful animals but they have their place in the animal world. I like the soft background yet you can tell it is a herd of cape buffalo. I think your crop works well in that the right buffalo is not cut off but has a little room in front of him. If I had any suggestion it would be to crop as a panorama to remove the blank sky and a little of the foreground. |

I like how you have isolated out this small segment from the original busy image. You have a great eye for seeing the detail and the hidden gems in an otherwise cluttered image. Great work in post processing.
I hope you like Lilly of the Valley. They spread fast and are almost impossible to get rid of. |

I have Rufus and Anna's all summer and the Rufus will sit on the feeder so the others can't feed. I have to put up another feeder where he can't protect both of them. The hummer is nice and sharp as is the leaf he is sitting on. I agree with Mike about that decreasing the background and foreground highlights. Also, adding a dark vignette will put more focus on the bird. |

I don't think I have ever heard of a hummingbird moth. Great catch. The eye, tongue and body of the moth are nice and sharp. Even with a very fast shutter speed it is difficult to stop the wing motion. For me the wing blur is not as distracting as the background. I would suggest desaturating the background, especially the pink flower at the top and removing or darkening the white spots on the right. A dark vignette might also put more focus on the moth. |

To me this image definitely tells a story; it's not the usual static image. The interaction between the egrets, looks like a twig is being passed, and the upraised wings of the right egret make me wonder if they are starting to build a nest. Your shutter speed was just right to stop the movement of the egrets and the foliage caused by the wind. I agree with Mike that the foliage looks a bit overprocessed or has a blue hue. There is nice detail in the egrets. I have trouble detecting when the white balance is off until I see it corrected and then my eye can see the difference. I'm wondering if there is a slight blue hue in the white of the egrets. |
