51 Jan 24 Comment I love Canada geese I just don't like what they leave behind if you know what I mean. Interesting image with a lot of reactions from the geese crossing the road to the older woman's expression and I wonder what the dogs are thinking. I bet they would love to chase after the geese. Two dogs look intent on chasing and one dog is oblivious. Nice shot of an afternoon walk. Jan 9th
51 Jan 24 Comment A good example of the old saying "always look behind you." All the elements in this image work so well together. A great story with the fishermen at the end of the day. As I looked intently at the image I thought the rocks, sand and water looked a little too crisp as if over sharpened. Did you use an hdr effect or any other effect? I really do like the crispness. The people add a nice point of interest. I use to not want people in my images but have learned over the years that if they are a small part of the scene they can add perspective and interest. Well done. Keep looking back…..

51 Jan 24 Comment Love the leading line of the path going into the scene and around the trees. The beautiful clouds are a bonus. Looks like it could be a cold winter day. This is another scene that would be fun to capture in the four seasons. Looks like a great place to walk. Jan 9th
51 Jan 24 Comment A beautiful buck posing so nicely for you. It is amazing how well they adapt to residential areas and can so easily jump over the fences. Nicely done. Jan 9th
51 Jan 24 Comment The leaf looks like it's floating in the air. The dying/dead leaf stands out nicely against the green background that may represent life. A good choice of backgrounds. Great use of the apps to produce this image. I like how you have angled the leaf. Well done. Jan 9th
51 Jan 24 Comment It's interesting to see this windmill farm on flat ground compared to here in WA where they are on the high ridges. Of course there is nothing out there to stop the wind so makes a good location. Very nice sky with approaching storm. The turbine blades stand out nicely against the brooding clouds. Jan 9th

52 Jan 24 Comment Another very interesting image. What a great idea to use your cell phone to document the action and noise. Crows do this activity around my house in the PNW. I like that you converted the image to monochrome as it gives it a more moody and dramatic effect. Truly in the Alfred Hitchcock realm of mystery. I think the only thing I would suggest is to look around the edges and remove any parts of birds cut off. There are a couple on the right and one bird very close on the left. Jan 19th
52 Jan 24 Comment Wow, right place at the right time. Beautiful capture of the hunting osprey and the look on the fishes face adds to the story. The face of the osprey and the fish are nice and sharp. All the things you did in post works well. The osprey is nicely separated from the background and for me you got the color of the water right. Wish it was my image. Well done. Jan 15th
52 Jan 24 Comment A very tranquil scene with the beautiful yellow flowers. Flipping this image did not seem to add or subtract from the image so I think it is just a personal choice. I like the little tighter crop that Mike did as it removed the two flowers hanging on to left side. I think less sky also works better although you had some nice clouds and not a blank sky. I think having the horizon in the middle can work in some situations but in this one I think it breaks up the scene. For me more flowers and water and less sky works better. Jan 15th
52 Jan 24 Comment Beautiful great egret in flight. Nice detail and sharpness through out the bird. I think bringing up the exposure slightly without blowing out the whites would enhance the egret and separate it more from the background. You did an excellent job removing the post. I agree with Mike about removing the brown subject behind the birds head. I also agree with Mike's suggestion of the crop as it is a bit tight at the bottom and right side. Jan 15th
52 Jan 24 Comment I think there is a nature story here. I believe the two swans with pink on the bill are juveniles and the one on the left an adult. The action of the swan on the left makes me wonder if he is just about to take off, just stretching, or maybe just landed. A group of three is nice with each one doing something different. I think you have done a nice job in post processing. There is enough movement of the water to give a nice blur to the reflections but not too much. There is nice detail in the swans without the whites being blown out. The soft background does not distract from the subject. Jan 15th
52 Jan 24 Reply You are right Ally. I totally missed the aberration. I need to go back and work on that. Thanks for pointing it out. Jan 15th
52 Jan 24 Reply Thanks Mike. I like what you have done. I see I also missed a couple of dust spots. Jan 15th
