Beautiful. Everything works in this image. The setting sun peaking from behind the clouds and sending God beams down to the water. The people in silhouette on the beach add perspective and interest. At one time I didn't want people in my images but I have changed over the years and now I use them to add to the image. You were in the right place at the right time. |

Thanks Bob. I didn't notice that until you mentioned it. It definitely needs darkening. |

You and your phone camera did a great job. I have found in the past that zooming in too much with the phone camera caused a loss of resolution and sharpness. I would not have thought to try this with my phone but maybe I should test it. I like the corrected perspective Jerry did. Well done and a keeper. |

Nicely done. Did you use an HDR effect on the image? I agree with the others about leaving space on the left to see up the sidewalk/street as it gives the building a place. In a few years those trees will be big enough to block out the Champion sign. The signs of yesterday are slowly fading away, I'm glad you captured this one. |

Danger for sure. I'm glad you were in a safe place as one wrong step and you are history. I'm a fan of silky water in waterfalls as it shows the flow of the water as we see it. However, in this case I feel like the original really shows the boiling turbulence and danger of the river. Having said that I like the silky "long exposure" image also but for different reasons. It also shows the movement of the water but in a more "calm way." |

I love your edited image. The colors and textures are very inviting. I want to walk down that path. For me the large watermark is a distraction. I think if it was smaller my eye would stay in the image and not be pulled over to the watermark. |

You did well getting a sharp image traveling at 65 MPH. I didn't have such good luck when I tried it a few years ago on the Mackinaw Bridge. I like the b/w especially for the bridge structure. For me the nearly black/no detail in the vegetation is a distraction. Also, the dark second more distant car. Is there a way to mask those and bring some detail back in in Distressed FX or in Snapseed? |

A great action shot of bird and bug. For me there is too much empty space around the action and it is hard to see the bug. I took the liberty of trying a tighter crop to see what it would look like. I would like to see the interaction of the bird with the bug and I feel it gets lost in the above version. With the new Resize tools available in Topaz and On1 2022 you might be able to crop tighter and have a great image. The bird appears to be sharp and there is detail in the feathers and face. I think it is well worth some additional work. |

I really love this image. The colors are outstanding, the detail, the two ants marching along. I don't even think to look for the things you photograph and if I saw you photographing this I would have probably walked on. You have really found your niche in macro photography and an eye for the little things in our world. I think you should enter this in a competition. |

You captured a unique situation with the different species of herons so close together. Even with the tight crop the herons look sharp. I find the background distracting and takes away the focus from your main subject. I feel a tighter crop to put the focus on the herons would be more appealing to my eye. I did a tighter crop and flipped the image so the larger upright GBH was looking to the right. I also added some dynamic contrast. Just something to think about. |

Those giraffe tongues can get into some tricky places. Your image made me smile. I think the b/w works well. I think it could use more contrast or detail extractor as to me it seems a bit flat. I don't usually put a frame on my images. I use ON1 2022 and that program has a lot of different frames and I think Topaz Studio does also. |

What a wonderful experience with the life cycle of the Monarch. I think you did a great job in your setup detail and in post processing. I like Mike's version with the slight angle of the butterfly. I learned from John Gerlach years ago when shooting butterflies that using a little fill flash can really bring out the detail in the wings. Just a thought you might try next time. |
