Right place at the right time with phone in hand. Great reaction to capture the action. My first thought was all the leading lines. A simple but impactful image. Well done. |

What a great treat to be able to photograph the doves so close with a phone camera. Nice sharp detail in the doves and they even have a catch light in the eyes. My only suggestion would be to crop down a little tighter from the top left corner or add a vignette do force the views eye to stay on the doves. I hope we see babies next month 😉 |

A great find and sharp eye to see this image. It does look like you are looking through a window. I have tried photographing reflections in windows and had trouble with focus. Either the reflection was sharp or the window frame was sharp but not both sharp. It looks like the phone did a good job with the overall focus. The blue and rusty orange compliment each other nicely. |

What a beautiful image. The crop worked well and the colors really pop. I thought you had added some type of effect too like a detail extractor or dynamic contrast as the flowers and leaves are so defined. I have no idea what would produce the effect in the phone but I really like it. Well done. |

This is a beautiful macro of the tiny flower. I like that you composed it with the center of the flower toward the right side. Nice detail. Thanks for showing what the macro lens can do on the high end phone. |

Wow! I'm blown away by how beautiful this image is with the edits you did. It is amazing what some of these apps can do. Your decision to use DFX was a good one. I like your composition with the two larger cactus in the foreground and two little ones in the background with nice separation. It truely is color in the desert. |

Thanks Bob. I did bring down highlights but the result did not satisfy me. When I shot the image with my phone I had it in HDR mode so that helped some but not enough. I don't use Photoshop so I don't have the mobile app. I'm going to work on it some more with the suggestions from you and Jerry. |

Thanks Jerry. I did editing in two programs. My biggest problem is forgetting that I can do a mask in Snapseed. I think it's called a brain fart 🥴. I will give your suggestions a try. |

Canada geese seem to be everywhere and you captured a nice grouping. I think the wing blur can work nicely however because of your slow shutter speed of 1/60 sec the head is not sharp and also the white on the chest is blown out. You didn't say if your were using a tripod. I feel a higher shutter speed and maybe a higher ISO may have helped in capturing a sharper image. I think Mike's suggestion of going more abstract with some filters could turn this into a very interesting image. |

I love owls and this image is a keeper for sure. I love how you have captured the character of the owl as he peeks around the tree. The eye is so captivating. I think you have done a wonderful job deleting or post processing the distracting background. The tree doesn't bother me as it is soft enough and the owl is too captivating. The owl's rim hair does look slightly green but I think that can also be caused by the green background showing through those fine hairs. I think my only suggestion would be to add some dynamic contrast to the owl to give the feathers more definition. |

I tried to keep the tree on the right however, some people were on the beach and lingered long enough that they became ghosts in the image. I tried taking them out using several methods and it was just making a mess so I just cropped them out. Good catch on the title, it should have said Half Dome Sunset but I guess Half Done Sunset works also. |

I love the colors and composition with this little fish seeming to ask what you are doing there. I think the important areas around the fish are nice and sharp. I believe the little white spots in the blue background and some in the green background are filaments floating in the water. If I had one suggestion it would be to take them out. Nicely done. |

A beautiful flower. It looks like you had some pretty harsh light on the flower but I think you were able to handle the contrast nicely. I like that you cropped it tightly to remove most of the background distraction. I see the little green spot Mike mentioned and agree that it could be removed or toned down. I also think Mike's idea of doing some dodging and burning would enhance the flower. |

Thanks. The sky was a real problem for most of the week I was in Yosemite. We finally got a few clouds on the last day. This is one that tempts me to replace the sky but that is not my editing style. I will work on the dome to make it warmer. |

I really don't have anything more to add that Lisa and Mike haven't already covered. I agree with their comments. I like the background better in your redone image. For me it seems more natural and compliments the flower. It's a beautiful Columbine and I like how the stem enters on the right side and bends in a nice leading line to the flower. |
