We definitely did go on a fall theme trip this month. Love that you went to a more intimate scene. Nice work on isolating the unusual gourd with the blur tool. For me the bench adds a sense of place and is not distracting. I wonder if these are edible or just decorative. Great find. |

Nice use of foreground, middle ground and background. As I was mentioning in Bob's image, having a person as a small part of the scene can add context. Nice that you caught the person in the act of walking with leg separation. It looks to be a cold blustery day but wondering if the exposure needs to be increased slightly. |

What a beautiful spot to find on a walk. A good place to sit and reflect. Great composition and framing. I envision a person sitting in the swing and wonder how it might add or distract from the image. I use to never want people in my images but have come to realize that if they are a very small part of the composition they can actually enhance the scene. |

I love everything about this image. This is a situation where having the horizon in the middle works well. So much detail in the clouds, trees and reflection. Did you get a chance to go back to check on the color? Beautiful composition. |

Great use of the night mode Jerry. You are always out there trying something new. The phone cameras have really improved over the years. It makes me wonder what they will be able to do in the next few years. |

A beautiful fall scene. I love how the river/lake leads the eye from right to left into the scene. Nice boost to the colors without going too far. A great memory hike. The dramatic clouds add nicely to the scene. |

Gatlinburg was definitely a tourist trap with lots of people. No one wears a mask in Tennessee except me 🥴. We didn't run into any other photography groups. I went with John Gerlach and he knows when and where to go to avoid most people. We were out before sunrise when the tourists were still in bed. Only place that was bumper to bumper cars was Cades Cove and then we couldn't stop at the visitor center area because three black bears were lounging near the parking lot. |

You certainly found a traditional fall scene with the pumpkin patch. It looks pretty natural to me even though you did HDR. I do find it to be a busy scene. After taking a photograph of the overall scene I try to remind myself to "move my feet" and look for more intimate parts of the scene or a different perspective. If your focus is the pumpkins I think it might enhance the image to get low and closer to the pumpkins and make them more of the focus. It looks like it was a great family outing. |

A beautiful tranquil scene. You were fortunate to be able to photograph it. I find myself torn between the original and the edited version. I like the more green color of the background trees in the original. To me it seems the background trees in the edited version have taken on a blue hue possibly from the enhancement of the sky. I like the foreground trees better in the edited image as they are more green instead of yellow. I like the composition with the stream leading to the waterfall and then the stream going off to the right. The stream leads my eye from the bottom right up to the waterfall, to the background and around to the right along the cliff and background trees. A lot of interesting comments to ponder. |

I think this works well as a blur because there is no doubt that it is an egret. It is an artistic rendition of the bird in flight. You can definitely see the details of the egret from the bill and eye to the wings and feet. To me your blur is right on. If it was blurred more you would lose the details and it would just become a white unrecognizable object. We often get stuck in the belief that everything has to be sharp when stepping out of the box can produce some very interesting images. |

Beautifully composed and edited. I like that you removed the "crying children"that I assume were the orange flowers in the background as to me they would have been distracting. I'm a little torn between your dark vignette and letting more of the green foliage in the background show a little. I like the darker purple in the foreground as I feel it helps set off the main flower. Well done. |
