You had an interesting idea using live view and then adding the bounce effect. I watched the gif file sent to use my email and was astonished by the effect. Well done. |

Beautifully captured and that new phone camera did an excellent job. Really like how sharp the butterfly is and the nearby flowers with soft background. Welcome back. |

WOW. Such a simple composition yet it says so much. For me this type of image begs for B&W. I think your editing is superb. I feel I still struggle with B&W editing. This image deserves a book cover or print on your wall. |

I really like all the colors working together as only nature can do. My only suggestion is to crop a little tighter to push the berries right up to the viewers eye. Congratulations on the 12 pro. |

Great use of your selfie stick to get that low perspective. Love all the action with the steam pouring out and the black smoke going up. HDR was a great choice. Well done. |

What can I add that the other group members have not already said. I agree that the people give it a place and perspective. Great idea to capture it with your phone camera. |

Thanks Jerry. I have one image taken with my iPhone 12 mini that has a sun shadow going straight up from the setting sun. |

I like the square crop but is this the same image as the yellow flowers in the background are in a different position. |

I think you did an exceptional job at removing the light pollution and I don't feel the image is over processed. To me it looks like there is some issue with the trees on the left at the ridge line. I can't zoom in on them but it looks like the tops of the trees are washed out and the bottoms darker. I like the foreground rocks and the water movement. For me I am unsettled by a light foreground in a night photograph when I know it was pretty dark at the time of the shot. Just my preference to have a more natural representation of the foreground. Having said that I think you did a good job overall and should be happy with the image. |

Kudos to you Judith for the transformation in this image. You have gone above and beyond what I would have the patience to do so I commend you. Thanks for the details you shared in post processing as it is very helpful. I agree with Ally that although you were going for bokeh, for me it is too bright and distracting. I'm not a Photoshop person or a flower photographer but I was wondering if in your masking you can change the background color from this sort of muddy green to a little lighter complimentary color. Just a thought. Well done. |

Great capture of this shorebird in action. I really like that you got down low to the birds level. Nice golden side lighting. I agree with Ally about cropping tighter at the top to decrease the brightness. A square crop might work nicely. The bird is the subject so I feel all the focus needs to go there. Very nice image. |

You captured such a wonderful moment in nature. All the colorful plants add to the image. I like that his/her head is turned to the side a bit and there is nice light in the eye. The sharpness is right where it belongs at the eye and head. I agree that a little more room in front of the beak would work nicely. Can you show us your square crop? Beautiful! |

You have a knack for capturing butterflies. I think your crop and slight rotation work nicely. The bright out of focus flower head behind the antennae works in showing them. If I had any suggestion it would be to darken the foliage at the top of the image. The brighter green on the right, middle and left top are a bit distracting. |
