I don't know the name of the flowers. I should look in my wildflower book to see if I can identify the,. |

Well done. I too love the interplay of the tulips and the shadows. Your crop simplifies a busy scene. I like that you blurred the outer flowers so the focus is on the center. |

A very nice nautical image. The gull could not have been in a better position. I agree that the horizon needs a little straightening. It looks like a wonderful place to have lunch and watch the activity of the harbor. |

So nice that the pelicans were cooperative. I like your composition/crop. The vegetation in the foreground gives a sense of place. I always love reflections and the calmness of the water paid off. Good depth of field and sharpness. |

A sure sign of Spring when the flowers start to bloom. I would like to see an even tighter crop on the top grouping of flowers. I find the two foreground flowers that are out of focus a bit distracting. |

I love this image and especially the low angle you took looking up the trunk toward the sky. Your post processing and use of textures really make this a compelling image. It sort of reminds me of a horror movie. Well done. |

I use to not want people in my images but I have found that having people or a person as a small part of an image really adds to the composition and perspective. You had a great model and it really shows the height of the rock formations. Great catch. |

I did try some lower angle shots but when I got too low the houses across the street ended up in the image. |

I don't understand what you mean that the image is bifurcated. |

You really have nicely defined edges and the white background makes it lean toward a high key image. I agree with the others that the stem would add an anchor for the flower. |

You had the right shutter speed to stop the fast action between these birds. Too bad the starling won the perch. They are not my favorite bird. I like the clear blue sky as the background. |

You take some magnificent bird images Mike. This is a beautiful Ibis and the lighting really brings out the various colors in its feathers. The highlight on the nesting material leads the eye right up to the bird. The nesting material is an added bonus. I sort of want to see more room in front of the ibis, wondering how it would look flipped. Beautiful image. |

It's always fun to catch busy bees at work. I would like to see more of the flower the bee is working on or a crop that is not so tight. The bee has nice detail and you have done a nice job eliminating some of the distracting background. |

I too have tried to catch red-winged blackbirds especially on a cattail singing or doing something. You got a nice capture of the red patch on the wing and with some action. I think the various angles of the twigs adds to the image so it doesn't look too static. My one wish is that I could see the birds eye better. I know how difficult black eyes on a black bird can be. You do have a little catch light in the eye so maybe it's a mute point. |

Thank you Isaac. I wish I could have moved to a position to eliminate the branches in front of the immature eagle but it was impossible. |
