51 Feb 21 Comment Oh my, Sasquatch is loose. Another creative mind. I think you accomplished your goal. Fun to see what you can do in some of the apps. Feb 8th
51 Feb 21 Comment I love photographing these old battery installations. I was at one here in WA last Friday. The contrast between the big artillery shells and the peaceful deer grazing is striking. I'm glad the deer were so cooperative. It would be fun to go back and do it again in the snow. Your patience paid off. Feb 8th
51 Feb 21 Comment An interesting shot of everyday life. All it needs is a date stamp in the border like the old prints we use to get. Brings back memories. I have albums full of these pics. Feb 8th
51 Feb 21 Comment A tree full of cardinals would be super. Nice graphic design with the dark branches and snow. Feb 8th
51 Feb 21 Comment Very interesting and super creative. Sadly, my brain doesn't work that way. A fun project. Looking forward to the webinar on Wednesday. Feb 8th
51 Feb 21 Comment A beautiful composition Dave. I like how the cactus are silhouetted against the sky and that there is just enough light in the shadows to anchor the vegetation without being distracting. Feb 8th
51 Feb 21 Reply Ok. So you are saying adjust the black point in the photo editor on the phone. I will check that out. Thanks. Feb 4th
51 Feb 21 Reply Where in Snapseed can you set the black and white point? Feb 3rd

52 Feb 21 Reply Thanks. There is a slight vignette on it. I try not to make my vignette obvious. Feb 13th
52 Feb 21 Comment What a beautiful ibis. In some ways I wish I could see more of the ibis from the front or side instead of mostly from the back. However from the back I like that we can see the beautiful coloring in the wings and back. Glossy Ibis is an appropriate name. I think you have done a remarkable job with the cropping and editing you have done. The eye is visible and light enough to separate it from the rest of the face. In the original image it looks like the feathers on the wings are ruffled up but in the edited image the feathers are all smooth. I'm intrigued as to how you accomplished smoothing the feathers. I think your edit of the background works well in reducing any distraction from the ibis. It is sharp from wing tip to wing tip and I like that the curved bill is separated nicely from the wing. I think you have done a great job in producing a very nice image. Feb 10th
52 Feb 21 Comment I like your persistence in the face of annoying computer problems. I like the black and white conversion as it enhances the details in the foliage and mushroom. I did a little tighter crop, pretty much square. I think you did a wonderful job removing what looks to be a long dead leaf on the left of the mushroom. Feb 10th
52 Feb 21 Comment I think you captured a really nice image of the Phoebe. I especially like that he is singing and has a nice catch light in his eye. I think his posture and the tilt of his head is very nice. I agree with Mike in that I like the tighter crop he did in his edit. It sounds like you will have a photographers paradise. Feb 10th
52 Feb 21 Comment I have visited Zermatt several times 1972 and 2011. A big change in the town but the mountain never changes. You were so lucky to capture this beautiful mountain. I like that you included some foreground mountain on the right. I like Mike's edit and adding some warmth the the sunny side of the mountain and enhancing the blue in the sky as it makes the mountain standout more. I think the depth of field was spot on as everything seems sharp from foreground to mountain top. Feb 10th
52 Feb 21 Comment I like how you cropped out the gray sky and removed the chain and post. I also like the trees reflected in the pond but like Mike the man made structures on the left side are distracting from the nice scene and for me make that corner look cluttered. I tried a little different crop. Feb 10th
52 Feb 21 Comment A beautiful image from the original through the two edits. I think the square crop works well as he is sort of hunkered down (probably ready for a nap) and the ankle of the bill leads up to the eye. I really like the detail in the feathers. I think you have captured a beautiful image of a majestic bird. Feb 10th
52 Feb 21 Reply Thanks Mike. I went back and edited with your suggestions. I didn't even see the slight skew in the post. And vertical is better. Feb 8th
