I don't remember using the portrait mode. I don't think I did as I'm still learning what it can do and also remembering what it can do. |

What a great image. I hope you shared it with your friend. The cat is so tack sharp. I can hear the gears whirling in his head wondering "what should I do." |

I love the creative effect you achieved with the app. It turned a nice winter scene into an art piece. For me it looks like a painting or could be a jig saw puzzle. I always wished I could draw or paint but was not given the gift so using these apps is a way to express the artistic side. Well done. A Christmas card is a great idea. |

I love the simplicity and the contrast between light and shadow. It reminds me of how often we walk by these situations without a second thought. Nice that you stopped and captured the moment. |

What a great place to get away and just "chill." For me the image is too bright. I like the original sky and I actually like some of the shadows on the snow. In the original you can see texture in the snow but in the processed one I don't see any texture or detail. |

What a neat and fun idea. That's a new app for me. I love what it did to the image even though you didn't share the original. The reflections on the table are a bonus that add interest to the image. I need to remember this for next Christmas. |

A beautiful flower, tack sharp and nice soft background. I'm torn between cropping off the stem on the left or leaving it. I would clone out the little bit of red flower on the top left border. |

I too like that the tree base is totally in the image. It is a great foreground feature that sets the tone for the image. |

I was intrigued by your composition. I like the right in your face feel and the feeling of intimacy with the stork. I'm not terribly bothered by the out of focus body. The lone out of focus leg is distracting. I do like the tighter crop as it does remove that lone leg and really brings the stork up close and personal. The eyes don't bother me but maybe a slight lightening of the left eye would make it more balanced with the right eye. I have tried to get an image like this of a great blue heron but not successful yet. |

What a great find and so near that you can go back in various weather conditions. Yes, I would use HDR in this situation or bracketing 1-2 stops. I agree with the others on the luminance and color noise. I like that you flipped the vulture so he is looking to the right. I usually don't think of doing that. |

You did a good job dealing with a very contrast composition and bringing out the detail in the bats or flying foxes. I'm bothered a bit by the nose at the bottom edge of the image. I don't know if cropping it out would put the bottom bat too close to the edge. I agree with Mike in that I would like to see what could be done with just the two bats on the left side in the original image. |

Your image reminds me that we always need to look down, up and behind us as there is more to see than what is just in front of us. I like the pattern of the fall leaves in the stream and the moss covered logs. I think this image would be fun to play with some artistic filters/textures. I just purchased Topas Studio 2 and have had fun trying some of the artistic effects. |

It's so hard to find an unblemished flower but you hit the jackpot. I like how you balanced the flower with the leaves and dark areas. My only suggestion is similar to Mike's in either cropping a little more at he top or using an adjustment brush to tone down the foliage at the top right. I like the background leaves as they go out of focus but the yellowish spot and the vertical light stem are distracting. |

A beautiful image. In reading everyone's comments I think there are a lot of ways to process this image and it mostly depends on taste and likes. I too would like to see more of the tree so maybe cropping from the right a little would work to keep the dimensions you want. I love the color contrasts and for me I think I would desaturate the orange just a bit. Let us know how it does in competition. |

I like your edit Mike. I really wanted it to look high key but my experience at editing for high key is very limited. I will go back and try to replicate what you did. Thanks |
