The edited one is the winner for me. I love the watercolor effect. With your editing the busy background is turned in to a very soft complimentary background and all the focus is now on the flower. Great job. I don't use Adobe anymore but fun to see what can be done. Merry Christmas |

I love the blue and yellows as they really compliment each other. You did a good job isolating the air subject from the background. I would like to see more of the sunflower on the left that is very dark in the middle and even the front bottom sunflower. Maybe use a mask to lighten a little so you can see the middle. Very nice composition.

A very peaceful fall scene. I wasn't sure about the dark blue at the bottom of the image but it does give it some negative space. What a great place to walk.
Merry Christmas. |

That path is definitely gold. I don't know if it's a road or trail but it invites me to follow the yellow leafed road.

I love your use of the arbor to frame the scene and lead the eye down the path. Your editing amazes me as I never think of all those various edit tools to use. Infrared photography interests me and I have thought of converting a camera. Nicely composed and edited.

I really like the low angle you took and with the setting sun just peaking above the horizon and between the yuccas. The top of the yuccas silhouette very nicely against the darkening sky. I have never been to White Sands or Great Sand Dune but maybe some day.
Enjoy your snowbird time and Merry Christmas. |

What a beautiful image Mike. So sharp and packed full of action. I like that you added more canvas at the top and made it more of a vertical image. I also like the ripples in the lower right corner as it tells you he is over water. For me it gives him a place in the environment and not just hanging in the air. |

What a great idea to capture this wayward leaf stuck to the window. I also think a tighter crop at the top might be a consideration. Having said that I really don't mind the negative space at the top as the light green seems to say there is a world out there. |

A great flight shot and very sharp. For me the highlights on the water are troublesome but I'm not sure trying to tone them down would help much. Like Mike said, high contrast is tough. |

A great composition and his expression is priceless. Maybe he just had a big meal and was feeling the after effects. I like the tighter crop but a little more log under him would be nice. I have never replaced eyes but it would be fun to see what he would look like with a left eye. |

It certainly has been a challenge to get out for photography and still stay away from people. A nice capture of the flamingo. For me I prefer the tighter crop that Mike did as it reduces the background distraction. Shooting in zoos and parks can be a challenge but I think you did a good job isolating your main subject. |

What a beautiful Elk. He has that look in his eye that says "don't mess with me." I like your crop and Mike's so it would just be a preference. |

Thanks Mike. After Larry's comment I was worried about the tree as I had not noticed it was not sharp. I was on a tripod so my only thought was there was enough breeze/wind to cause leaf movement. It was processed as an HDR to get the drama in the clouds. I could probably take the normal exposure image and mask the clouds. |
