This would be a great perch for a hawk or eagle to survey the surrounding area for a meal. The yellow flowers really add to the composition. The image held up nicely with such a big crop. Do you have one of the newer phones with a better camera? |

I love the expanse of the sky with all of the clouds. A nice bonus to have the rainbow and the luck of getting it ending on the boat. I think the lifeguard stand adds perspective and almost makes the beach seem more lonely. To my eye the horizon doesn't look quite level. |

I like that you got down low by the stream and included as much of the water as you did. The perspective of looking across at the rock wall and the angles of the bridge leading to the building are a nice flow for the eye moving through the image. |

I agree with the others that your cropping was crucial to eliminating the distracting background. Very good composition with a side view of the butterfly. Your artistic approach added interest. |

What a wonderful transformation. I have looked from the original to the edited image and can't see where you cropped or filled in the gaps. I love the colors, lines and textures. My eye follows the taller succulent in the back to the one in the middle and out the bottom with the third tall one. Well done. |

There is so much to love about this image. I love that you used the window to the world to frame the landscape beyond. The starburst just gives it that little extra to make it an excellent image. Great DOF. The only thing I would suggest is to either clone or crop out the little patch of sky in the upper right corner. The CCC did so much for this country while putting men back to work. Maybe it should be revived. |

Yes I was on a tripod. I focused in small increments from front to back. Focus peaking is a feature on mirrorless cameras. You can set a color of either white, yellow or red and that color will appear as an outline on what is in focus. So with focus stacking as you change your focal point you can see by the color you are using what is in focus. Google "focus peaking" for a better explanation. |

He really posed nice for you. I love the head feathers sticking up. I think you have done a really nice job darkening the background to eliminate most of the distractions. For me I would still like to decrease the shine on some of the leaves using a local adjustment and just brushing the individual highlights to darken them some more. |

What an interesting story and your persistence/patience paid off. I like the angle you used to shoot the dandelion from the back. This is another image that is almost monochrome so I would like to see it converted to B&W. |

To me this is a nice minimalist image. If I cropped on the left it would only be up to the trees as I think they add to the mysterious fog in the background. The sandbar doesn't bother me. This is almost monochrome so it would be interesting to see it as a true monochrome/B&W. |

Beautiful composition and the rain drops are a nice addition. Like the flower I feel like I'm left hanging in space without the stem especially with the flowers bending down. For me the stem is important with the position of the flowers. Beautiful colors and detail. |

You didn't say what your aperture or shutter speed were but you nailed the sharpness from the butterfly to the bee to the flower petals. The crop helped to decrease any distraction in the background with nicely muted colors. I agree with Mike's suggestion to dodge the far antenna slightly or maybe take out the little light area at the top of the far antenna. That little light spot is the only thing that tells me that is the top of the antenna. Love the composition. |
